Olivia Wilde was at the game tonight. After seeing that, I came to the conclusion that she is perfect, and you all might think that, too. But alas, no one is perfect, not even her.

@reedus, Royals won 1-0. Santana gave up 2 hits in 7 1/3 (I believe) innings pitched and we hung on. Almost a sellout crowd.

@kilo, hot dogs, peanuts, and drinks are $1 on Buck Night. But the drinks are ~5oz cups so a lot of people just buy the $7.50 souvenir cups with free refills, myself included.

I'm probably in the minority, but I still love those kind of games. Give me a pitcher's duel, 1-0 game any day over the 9-6 win the Cards had tonight.

Not a golfer, but I can look at pics of ballparks and golf courses all day long.

Royals look like they are really close to turning the corner for good. That would be nice having two playoff chasing teams to follow in the summers ahead.

I follow the Royals fairly close. There is a lot more looking good for the future than there was last
couple of years IMO. I still am not sure about trading Myers though?!? Shields is a nice front end starter and Wade Davis, well, his future might be in the pen.

yes!

Jabari Brown and Henry Josey threw out the first pitches. Henry went first and Aaron Crow caught the pitch. Then he got up to meet Henry Josey between the mound and left Jabari hanging. Jabari kind of awkwardly 'd and walk of shamed off the mound I felt bad for him kind of

Also other story:

I was early enough to see batting practice for the Tigers. Each of their players was taking about 20-30 pitches a piece. Prince Fielder's turn comes up, he hits 4 straight home runs into the fountains, and then walks away after 4 swings. Like a boss!

I agree about pitcher's duels, the game could change with one swing. Plus it was hot as shite out so it being a quicker game wasn't a huge problem.

Here's the two pictures I took tonight:

Seems you guys are getting some pretty decent pitching. Hitting is spotty. About right?

Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the Myers trade. We desperately needed an ace and I think Shields was worth it. Davis was just filler and didn't come in with much expectations. Our development system is very poor and I'm not convinced Myers would've even been successful had he been called up in our system. Plus at the time of the trade, nobody knew if he would pan out at all. Myself and many others definitely like the trade.
