Strong's struggles with his blocking reads have limited his reps more than his running.
We heard the same thing about Crockett until he played and guess what....everyone raves about Crockett's blocking reads.

And I agree. I thought that his lack of playing time, especially versus Witter, would be noticed by the ESL players.
Without a doubt.
And let's not forget how gawd awful our secondary was and Taylor barely sniffed the field. Again...maybe completely justified that he wasn't on the field but I guarantee you the belief from within ESL is that their players on the team (Taylor & Strong) were better than the dogshit (secondary) and mediocrity (Ish) that they saw on the field.
Well if that's what they thought, within regards to Strong at least, they were wrong.
Disagree?
Are you advocating playing players simply to get a recruit? I don't get the gripe.
And then this is all assuming this is actually a reason he's not coming here, which is just highly unlikely.

you're taking it wrong or I didn't explain it clear enough. I'm not advocating anything and not griping. I'm stating that I can understand the perception. Not that the perception is a good one.

One thing stands out to me about this. Either Strong and Thomas never talk/havent talked in a long time, or Strong is telling him about estl kids and lack of PT.
I say Strong because he's the only one who maybe should have played more.

Thanks for passing along. I'll take his word over that troll freelance reporter.
Steve Overbey definitely had partial nondisjunction when his 21st chromosome developed.

Well then.
The bad part about this is even if we did land him he is very unlikely to qualify.

I think it is more likely that Dana Howard and Terry Hawthorne are planting these seeds rather than someone on our team.

Lovie is smart by offering his buddy Estes.

If anyone wants to hear the interview with Sunkett it's here starting at 7:45.
They talk Thomas, but also Estes. It appears not only Illinois, but Louisville are after him too.

Thomas reminds me of Beckham of the Giants with his warp quickness in and out of his routes. JUCO or not this kid is going to be hard to cover.
