One of my favorite Mizzou athletes and probably the most underrated Mizzou qb ever. Watch this video.

2014 likely goes a bit different if Frank the Tank had a year left and was 100% healthy.

Coked up Mauk really prevented from be8ng exposed by an elite D unit.

Hell, had he not gotten injured in 2013 I think we beat Auburn even with the shite D scheme.

Good player and seemed like a good guy. I had no idea he was still playing.

On of my favorite Mizzou moments is when Frank the Tank trucked over an A&M defender to reach in the end zone in 2011. Plus he was a leader during the 2013 season which is on par with the 2007 season. The two best Mizzou football seasons in my life time.

I wish him well in his future endeavors.

I only had 1 problem with Franklin... Social Media. I used to yell at my screen whenever I saw him answering on screen trolls "Just stop responding!"

Yeah not gonna lie his retirement post came off kind of combative.

“Thank you fans who hated and didn’t believe, you taught me to block out the nonsense”

“Thank you media who looked to create drama, you taught me verbal self control”

“Thank you coaches who taught me how important it is to disregard your disbelief in me”

“Thank you teammates who turned their backs on me when things got rough”

But he was definitely a great player and good dude, just a little thin skinned.

I feel ya, but the fanbase never got behind him. Dude had to work for everything he got.

He wasn't some high level recruit like Blaine or had the accolades of Chase but he had to follow them and even beat out Blaine's brother Tyler for the starting qb job... Then transition from the Big 12 to the SEC, then have a bad shoulder injury and still somehow get to the SEC title game. We lost the Auburn game because of bad defense, not offense. That's kind of a testament to James'.

I don't think the fan base wasn't behind Franklin. I think once he started responding to trolls, more trolls show up. They can smell an athlete with thin skin a mile away..
People love being asses online and will keep piling on. That's why I wish he would've just ignored them.
