He should’ve let Phillips play point for more than garbage minutes. Pretty simple really.

Phillips regression was Zo's fault?

Explain

So you think was putting his trust in Harris over Roberts?

Because Harris was told that he’s the guy they wanted to be the PG of this year and the future, he just had to earn it. He left right about the time that it looked like he was maybe figuring it out.

I think he made every possible wrong decision about PG with every player.

Roberts out
Harris pushed hard/publicly called out
Phillips ignored
Geist overused

He had so few minutes it was impossible to evaluate him.

Yup. Harris cried his way out of town when he was obviously the guy Zo wanted to take the reigns.

Phillips was shite. We are having some very selective memory right now if we are claiming he should have played more. He got chances and failed pretty much every time. Then he got kicked off the team.

Judging by this game, any warm body at guard would have been welcome but that's just ignoring how everything played out.

So did Geist. But he got to keep playing.

I disagree. He got chances. He never capatilized.

He wouldn't have been on the floor tonight regardless, so it's a moot point.

I agree. But I think if you told Cuonzo in November where we were tonight with regards to a PG, he would’ve managed the roster differently.

And it is all moot and none of that would’ve changed what happened tonight.

Phillips won the UCF game with his play late, but was too inconsistent the rest of the games. I thought he would be better this season.

Doesn't matter. We will see what happens when he recruits his own PG. Hopefully good things. I still think he's a couple of years away from a deep run if things go really well. I like his long term prospects though. I think he's the right guy.

I agree. Next year we could be worse than this year. We could be a little better. I don’t expect anything markedly different from this year in overall performance. Top half of the SEC, make the tourney and bow out kinda early.

It is what it is. Had he know Harris would leave then yeah...he'd probably give Phillips more run and not RS Roberts.

But he didn't, and he did.

Must upgrade the athleticism on the perimeter next year. Pinson, Watson and Santos do that. Ramey would be huge. Jontay and Tilmon would have a lot more room to operate if we have guards that can get around a defender and crease a defense.

I’m afraid you are right. Geist will still be playing PG most of the time next year and still turning the ball over too much. I just hope Jontay comes back and Tilman figures out a way to stop fouling out.

Won’t happen Cuonzo is going to go out and get a starting quality PG this offseason. Could be Ramey, could be a juco or it will be a grad transfer.

Geist will still play and be part of the rotation, but won’t be overexposed like he was this season in extended minutes.

Do you think Pinson will redshirt next year?

No I think Pinson plays. Mizzou needs a rotation of 10-11 players Pinson would be on the backside of that rotation at close to 10 minutes a game
