Competitive loss to Florida

Beat Tennessee

Beat Vanderbilt

Competitive loss to Arkansas

Finish 5-7.

Do you bring Barry back? It's an improvement over last year (5-7 and 2-6 versus 4-8 and 1-7).

I personally think that will be enough to get him a third year. Anything less and I think he's gone.

These next 4 games are SEC games, but all against bad teams.

I could see anything between 1-3 and 3-1 to finish the season.

Need to make a bowl.

We don't play a good team. That means we need to go at least 3-1

I think that is a perfectly fair expectation. Unfortunately based on the first half of the season, I think 2-2 is much more likely.

1-3 and he has to go no debate at all.

Need to make a bowl IMO, but I don't make the decisions and 5-7 might just get him another year.

Mizzou should wipe the floor with all of these teams. None of them have an offense to speak of.

However we don't have a defense.

So I'll say we go 1-3, beat Vanderbilt.

Barry gets fired.

I'm not so sure about this part. Yes, they are all bad teams. But really, so are we.

Every team we have left has 3 wins. We also have 3 wins. We are literally right on par with the rest of the teams we play. That's why I think we go 2-2.

What if we finish 5-7 and still make the pity bowl becuase there too damn many bowls? It technically is an improvement but the last four teams on the schedule are dog shite. We should , but won’t, win all four.

I wouldn't but I'd bet Sterk would.

None of the next 4 are going to be easy imo. Florida is still Florida. Tenn looked better against UK yesterday, and should have won the game at UK. Arky and Vandy won’t be easy either. I think we squeak out 2 wins and competitive in all 4. Our defense is still very bad. If not for all the drops, and bad passes, UConn scores 30 on us. I think the Dline is playing better. Pass rush is better. LB’s are not good, and our secondary is atrocious!

If I had to guess right now I'd say y'all lose to Arkansas. Your offense seems to be better while our defense shows up from time to time.

If the game was in Columbia and I'd give the nod to Mizzou. At Fayetteville I'll give the nod to Arkansas right now.

Y'all do have a better chance of going bowling then we do however. Like you we need 3 of our last 4. Coastal Carolina I'm vaguely confident about, and I give us a very small edge at home against you. Which would leave us needing to steal a game from LSU or Moo State.

Either is possible I guess. LSU has Coach O calling the shots and when Moo State looks bad... they look really bad. Both, however, should beat us like they caught us stealing money from them.

My pessimistic guess is that Arkansas vs Missouri is the Get to 5 Wins Bowl this year for both teams. The loser fires their coach. The winner probably fires their coach too.

... God I can't wait for basketball season to start.

Vandy isn’t good. But they’re going to be at home and we haven’t won a conference road game since 2014. Same applies to Arky. And you all appear to be improving.

Florida is a toss up. It’s a weird week, like when we played LSU last year. Could go any way, really.

I expect we beat what will be a lifeless, dejected Tennessee team.

So somewhere between 1-3 and 3-1.

Honestly, this thing is settling up perfect for Odom.

2 horrible OOC teams(uconn/idaho)

3 Teams who are losing or lost their Head coach
1 team who is floundering to end the season.

And guess what, he might end up with an extension(ewww).

Better hire a Dcoord, and put in a small buyout with that extension. Odom has zero leverage.

All the open jobs will give BO a 3rd year as much as anything. 4/5 wins and he stays.

4 sounds like caca but if they want to make a move who do you get? So much comp that waiting for next year's class makes more sense.

Nah. There is going to be competition every year. You can't let that drive your decision.

Besides, which SEC job do you think would be pulling from the same pull as us?

Not UT, UF or aTm certainly.

Maybe Arkansas?

We win out including our bowl game.

At the post bowl game presser BO goes off...."I told you I could fix it so STFU."

In 2018 we lose 1 game but win in Tuscaloosa and then beat Bama again the SEC Championship game.

After the season is over, Bama fires Saban and hires BO.......with "How do you like me now" being played in the background of his hiring presser.

I don't think he gets fired, no matter what the final record is, I doubt that y'all jump into a coaching search with FL & TN

also - right now, I am expecting y'all to make a bowl

no one left on the schedule is better than you

Everyone wants to compare early Barry to early Pinkel.

Pinkel changed. He brought in a new offense probably under threat.

Can Odom change? Remains to be seen. He’s demonstrated some pretty stubborn tendencies to this point.

I think he's already changed some things from his 1st year. It took Pinkel a long time to change some things like 2 a days in full pads; once he did knee injuries dropped dramatically. I know in the scheme of life it doesn't matter but how long before Pinkel would let players wear hats on the sidelines and backwards (Chase) at that?
