I guess Dru Smith is still waiting to see if he can become eligible and it will be nice to get Santos back. Coach said it will hopefully be in about 2 weeks.
Does Puryear look like a better player to anybody else? They will start to be better as the year evolves, but it might not show up on their record.

Look at the turnovers. This team has no real point guard.
Same issues as last year. Geist is not a PG, he should be playing off the ball. Pinson is too raw to really contribute and still thinks he can no look every pass with guys who have never played with him.
Can Dru Smith play point?

Yes Dru can play PG. Pinson will also get better.

Dru played point at Evansville and played it well. He plays great defense and his crossover is lethal. He's not scared to penetrate to the basket and he shot 40% from 3.

I was at the game last night, and it was remarkable seeing how bloody quick Pinson is and how effortless his dribble is.
He will improve, no doubt -- and hopefully add muscle. Not ready for prime time, but excited to see how he develops.

From what i'm seeing with my son, Nike EYBL and Adidas Gauntlet is all about mixtapes for the top talent. There isn't the hint of fundamentals or defense. Kids are playing basically 3 pickup games a day. The only good thing is this is a real opportunity for good high school coaches to get exposure for their programs if they are solid teachers of fundamentals. And maybe High Schools can wrestle back control of teen basketball.

I don’t understand when inbounding the ball after a made shot why they just stand there.
They can move, but don’t.
In a zone press moving causes the entire defense to move. This will allow guards to get the ball in better at positions on the court and stay out of traps.
In a man press it helps guards to get open when the defense is switching or can help stop the defense from switching.
When a team is pressing the Tigers make it look difficult to get the ball in and easy to trap.
