The defense looked solid against SC in week 2. The biggest change in the defense has been personel related.
Getting Logan and Warren back from suspension has been a big boost.
As has the move of Prewett to safety, and starting Lee at LB.

What looked solid about the defense in that game?

7 points were on special teams. Another 7 was 1 play after a Lock interception, giving SC a short field. The defense played good enough that game to win, only the offense laid an egg after the Crockett injury.

They played better than they did against Mo St.

I wouldn’t say they looked good.

Neither did I say they looked good, the defense was solid and looked prepared. Samuel took Mizzou’s heart out, and that last 2 games after the loss.

The same thing happened last year after the UGA loss.

Check the stats. SC gained about 10 yards over its season average and was about .5 yards below its season average in yards/play.

That’s a solid day. The defense looked coached and prepared. MSU, Purdue and Auburn the defense looked much worse.

On a related note, why isn't Pat Fitzgerald a hot name?

This from a guy who just a few short weeks ago said "frick BO I'm done" for 2 weeks....Now you're going to preach?... How special.

I'm sure the majority here will continue to call out shite play and shite coaching when deserved and heap praise like today.

It ashamed you couldn't just enjoy yesterday's victory and instead chose to be your normal dickish self.

You ad just as much toxicity here as anyone else. so again STFU

I’ve liked Odom since the day he was hired, only to get lambasted on here. I’ve been called his wife...a pumper...and many other names. Nothing I would like to see more than Missouri football players, team, and coach to succeed. I think JQ has been called many of the same names for his support of Odom.
But, like most of the “band wagoners” on here, unless you win every game, and ranked in the top 3 of the country, the coach is shite! My how a couple of wins can change people’s attitudes from “fire the bastard today”, to “looks like BO deserves another year after todays win!”

I don't think Fitz will ever leave Evanston. He will be their AD when he is done grinding.
