The school reported 5,459 on campus for the 2019-2020 school year, an increase of 16% over last year. It is Mizzou's second consecutive year of freshman enrollment growth of more than 10%. Minority enrollment in the freshman class grew 4.2%.

For comparison, the 2017-18 year started with closer to 4,100 freshmen. Last year, that number increased to 4,673.

2015 was the peak for freshmen enrollment at 6,211. We should be back there next year or close to it.

All the negative exposure were going on back then and now the problems are pretty much over. Barry Odom and Sterk is making sure Missouri is not getting any more bad exposure that have hurt Missouri over the years. So far everything seem to be on the right track for a great year for Missouri in general. The administration got to continue to keep things positive and make sure other people see that too.

From what I heard, I'm not sure if they can get back to 6.211 unless there are some dorms opening. Son has a friend that decided last minute to go to Mizzou and was told that there were no rooms in the dorms and he is paying for a B&B until he can find a house/apartment. Unless they don't allow sophomore transfers to live in the dorms.

Wait. So you're telling me a bunch of people over reacted to a stupid situation and thought Mizzou was doomed? Surely someone was saying time cures all and it would be old news in time.

Funny how all the worthless trolls on SEC Rant fail to mention that. But when enrollment took a hit it was suddenly front page news.

What people also forget is that year Missouri had a one of the smallest HS graduating classes on record. It was a given enrollment would be down.

I was never one of them. I knew it would eventually pass through like a bad storm. Just have to ride out the bad weather. The sun will eventually rise to shine another day.

You’d think it would but it probably won’t

i currently attend MU, this is partially true... Dorms are full however I know the school bought up some apartments at U-center to use for new student housing.... the dorms blow anyway, just go get a nice apt. somewhere
