Looked a bit like Drake Maye out there. He’s huge. He’s got a rocket arm. And he can scramble like Cook but probably better because he’s larger.

Cook can go back to the bench where he belongs. It’s all about next year.

The fricking Cook hate by supposedly grown men is unconscionable. I remember the same hate when we had a QB named James Franklin and a lot of people wanted Maty Cocaine Mauk.

I will admit I didn't give Franklin the respect he deserved at the time.

And before anyone goes full fricking retard, I'm not comparing Cook to Franklin.

I don’t hate Brady Cook.

He’s just doing his best.

Our coach has wasted this season chasing bowl eligibility that we may not even reach.

And then next year, when his job might be on the line, we’re going to either have to go with Cook again (who probably will never be a high level P5 QB) or a FR QB who doesn’t really have any game experience.

I really wasn't calling you out; there are plenty of other posters....posers that are dealing with some serious mental issues. While you're not wild about Cook, you haven't completely lost your mind.

I agree that Cook isn't necessarily SEC QB1 material but I'm 99% certain that he is our best option OR another QB would be playing. And playing Horn just for the sake of playing him isn't necessarily a good idea.....see Mauk or Lock. Both had scars from being thrown into the fire too soon.

If Horn gets scarred from one home rivalry game, then he isn’t it. I think Lock was a different situation entirely. You have a coked up starting QB who then gets injured and he’s forced in. You have coaching changes galore when he’s here. He barely played football as a HS and played at a lesser talent level area than Horn.

I don’t hate Cook. He’s a Mizzou kid through and through. He’s just not D1 talent and isn’t the future of the program and if he is, Eli is on his way to being fired after next season.

Horn should get multiple series next week and should take reps for that.

Only if he's ready and I'm not convinced Drink think's he ready or he would've already gotten more reps.....see Macon.

I could see Cook improving quite drastically next season.

And the coaching staff may already know this.

He needs to cut down on some of his runs. Appears to me he gets greedy after a good run and then a 2 yard loss. Also mid to deep ball accuracy.

He would also need to learn to read the defense better.

Sure, sure OLINE .. but as I pointed out in the other thread .. he doesn't make that throw that Horn made.

Brady is probably a great kid, loves mizzou, but needs to be the backup next year for the program to move forward.

Appears he's gotten better over the last 3 or 4 games but yes he has work to do.

And there are things Cook does better than Horn.

And you know this how?

Are you Eli or on the coaching staff?

What things? Physically, there’s nothing he can do better than Horn and Sam likely still has another 10-15 pounds he could put on.

As stated, he made a seam pass Cook never looks for let alone attempts. And he made a run Cook has done all season.

Brady has not gotten better the last 3 or 4 games either. He was abysmal against UK. His fumble was on e of the worst I’ve ever seen. He threw high. He ignored wide open WRs or didn’t see them. Last night he missed a streaking Lovett for an easy 6.

Against UT, he faced one of the worst pass Ds in D1. Rattler lit them the frick up. His TD to Dove was a bad throw requiring an NFL play by the WR. And we scored 7 in the second half. SC was a decent game. Vandy game was pitiful. We got shut out in the second half. Northern Illinois hung 28 on them. Elon hung 31. What is this improvement you’re talking about? Really dumb TOs? If that’s the metric, his UK fumble killed us.

This is pretty damn funny. I think Horn could run a one read offense at least as well as Cook.

After we pulled within 4 of Tennessee with 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Cooks stats are as follows:

7-13 passing 58 yds
16 yds rushing on 4 attempts (not deducting for sacks)

66 yds total offense

3 3-and-outs

He’s anti-clutch.

I don’t know a single person who hates cook. I just HATE that we play him.

Final drive against UK was the worst thing Ive ever seen . Final drive against UF resulted in a horrific INT. Credit to him, final drive against auburn and OT was good enough to win

Cook could improve drastically and still be a bottom 3 starting QB in the conference

He's not even in the bottom three in *any* category right now and thats without an offensive coordinator.

Pass yards - 9th (ahead of KJ Jefferson, Will Levis)
Completion % - 8th (ahead of Bryce Young)
Completions - 6th

His worst stats are:
YPA - 10th
Interceptions - 4th (tied)
Sacks - 5th (tied)

He's the epitome of a first year, middle tier qb.

Jesus frick. Stop being up accuracy as if it’s something Cook should be proud of. Dude has highly rated WRs and everything he throws is within 5 yards of the LoS or behind the LoS. It’d better be high.

Aggies have used 3 different QBs, which had also pushed Brady higher than he should be in yards.

You also forgot…

12th in passing TDs. 13th in team passing TDs because, again, Aggies.

He’s bottom 3rd in passer rating. Barely above Vandys QB.

Stop polishing a turd.

Shut up and go jerk off to more PFF ratings nerd. Do you watch the games or just troll on here? Brady Cook is not an acceptable P5 starter and he never will be

Start Cook, play Horn.

Whatever it takes to win this game. Throw the kitchen sink at them
