Well, Texas Tech wants to suck. I feel sorry for the Tech fans for how they will feel the first time their offense runs into a functional defense with good athletes. Of course, that may not happen during league play in the Big 12-4+2.

Or weather, Yost has no ability to adjust his offense to weather conditions either.

Thank goodness he was sent packing! We would not have sniffed East titles if he had stayed.

Sorry TX Tech fans. Many in the MU fanbase will feel for you over the next 2-3 seasons.

I actually think its an OK hire, Texas Tech will basically stay the same as far as win losses IMO, but won't be as prolific offensively. Yost knows the Big 12, it could work out.

Utah St had a top 10 offense last year.

Yea other than 2012 when a big his offense had major injuries, his offenses have been pretty good to really good.

Total Offense is really close. It might be a better hire than I first thought.

Against the 72nd schedule (Strength of Schedule ratings) in the nation.

Texas Tech? #23

Comparing their offensive #s would be apples and oranges.

This has MU as #6 BTW.

This does stress one of the arguments I tried to make. Yost's offense feasts on weak opponents, disappears when facing a defense with comparable or equal talent. All the complaints about Heupel's offenses grinding to a halt against superior defenses goes double for Yost's MU offenses.

The big win over OU with Gabbert at QB is about the only game I say Yost's offense showed up against a good defense. And the D provided at least one of MU's scores that game I believe.

Nobody plays defense in the Big 12. I’d imagine they’ll put up some pretty big numbers

His offense showed up this season against Michigan State. Love the USU QB had over 300 yards in a 31-38 loss.

I'm just saying, I doubt they'll be worse.

I never judge a coach based on a single game. Overall his teams have been good to great, except for 2012. And 2012 had a ton of injuries.

And Iowa in the bowl game, or Nebraska in the Thursday night monsoon game. Yost lost MU a few games all by himself. So glad he left, because Pinkel would have never showed him the door by himself. Pinkel's best seasons happened because Yost left by himself.
