Remote

I enjoyed the selection even if I am not a degenerate frick!

I listened to some of his other work as well.

Burnside is obviously a talented musician, so why would he not spend some of his recording rights on some dental work?

Ms. Zo asked a cashier at the store today when she was due.

She was not pregnant.

Hahah.

That could be an old man killz.

Daring of them to go for the long hair guy in a robe.. That's the dude's thing, it's like wearing someones number that hasn't been officially retired but he was a recent fan favorite. Or not, I'm second guessing that analogy.

Got to catch me in the right mood for me to like that music, but the song isn't unpleasant at all.. not bad stuff.

Gotta keep it real bogie.

Can't play poor man's music on the steps of a wood shack with perfect pearly whites.

And I could be wrong, but I doubt he was rolling in the dough at any point during his career when fixing his teeth would have meant something.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Co worker of mine did this recently. She claimed it was ok because they were in a maternity store.

Sleepy,

Hip Hop now compared to what it was back then is night and day.

I think you're younger than me, so you don't know. 1988-1994ish was amazing.

I still have a special place in my heart for Addidas sneakers, Public Enemy T-shirts, turn tables, and a looped James Brown beat to flow on top of.

But yeah, KDHX 88.1, that was the shite my friend.

Lots of static in That signal by the time it got to Hermann, but it was received loud and clear.

I also used to listen to a blues/jazz show they used to broadcast on Thursdays back then too.

Between that and spinning my dad's Howling Wolf albums you have you have today.

I'm just a soulful mother fricker I guess.

And fricking this.

I was at a wedding a while back where I wasn't paying attention to the Dj very closely and then I started because he was doing a good job of dropping in bits of songs and matching it all up genre wise, etc. So then I look over and this pasty white fricker is doing it all on vinyl. And I almost gave him a kiss.

Here's the description of The Record Sto', the show before Blursday.

Veteran turntablist Doug Morgan spins up a dizzying array of rock & roll, rap, reggae and soul 2-3:30 p.m. Then alter ego Doug Love (but they call him Mr. Tibbs) kicks off St. Louis radio's longest running hip-hop mix.

I too am into turn tables, and have a pair of addidas zx 700s.

I still think I'm the only one who understands your handle.

Rewatching Bourdains Vegas episode from last Sunday.

Doing a segment on a Thai restaurant in Vegas, Lotus Siam. Looks amazing. Ain't no pad thai nonsense.

No one...and I mean no one...is a better DJ than Springfield, MO spinster DJ P.

He recently won the Master of Mix and is now a celebrity DJ. He mixes 80s pop/rock with hip hop beats creating something entirely unique. We've been watching this guy spin at hippy and music festivals down here in Springfield since at least 1996.

Before you scoff at my claim, just google him or watch his YouTube festival clips and see for yourself.

The guy is incredible...and he too is pasty white and our age, mid 30s.
