There is a lot to like about Odom. How does he get 2 where he can coach a decent secondary and not make so many many many mistakes on game day?

Playing in the secondary is harder than it's ever been because of the offenses, and massively improved QB play. Not too long ago, Mizzou CB's were being praised because of their open field tackling in run support, now you better be able to defend every route and every throw. A lot of it comes down detailed coaching, and recruiting fast, long DB's. But how many of those kids are truly available every year? Even with NFL budgets and scouts and analysis, shite DB's keep getting drafted.

So IMO, there is no way for BO or any head coach (except Saban) to field a great defensive backfield year after year.

And yet Kentucky has a good defensive backfield.

I'd settle for a back field coach that didn't leave receivers wide open. I really really would

A lot of teams will be good from time to time, but I'm talking about year in year out. Next year when Kentucky is average or worse, will it be because their coaches just lost the ability to coach?

How about someone to coach special teams? Will that do?
