Our AD has a history of hiring coaches worse than Martin, I think this is something people seem to forget.

I dont think people forget. It is completely irrelevant. Every change can be better, worse or the same. But change is absolutely required to get better. No way around it. If things get worse then you change again. Repeat as necessary until you find the right one.

I dont understand the fear of having to go through multiple coaches to find the right one.

Bc it keeps setting you further back as a program, more so then where Martin has us currently.

Also her history of hiring bad coaches could not be more relevant. That's literally her job.

Didn’t she hire the football coach at unlv and the basketball coach only? Football coach was a dud. Oztlberger (sp?) is doing a hell of a job at Iowa State.

Wanna say, the timing makes sense. TJ took for a winning roster and went under .500 the next 2 years at UNLV before leaving.

That only matters if you value being mediocre more than being bad. Many folks don't have that view. You are either winning or your aren't and if you aren't, you gotta make some changes to get to winning.

Want list:

coach with a system to implement, but not stifling on the offensive. I want basketball I enjoy watching; good defensive systems, general offensive strategy, and some set plays.

no bad contracts--horrid buyouts that tack on with middling years

Pretty much it. You don't even need a recruiting guru with NIL now; just need sufficient NIL opportunity for 8-12 young men, depending on the level of depth you can afford.

We will have to reach on a Drinkwitz type hire to get a reasonable contract situation.

I don’t know, but wouldn’t this hire be well above her?….

I have to preface with saying I don't like basketball, I just do like Mizzou to do well at everything. But, Scott Davenport, head coach of Bellarmine basketball, seems like a terribly interesting option. It is such a unique way of playing the game.
