And that post confirms you are nothing more than a attention whore.
You should change your name to Negative Nancy. It's more fitting.

Ummmm, how does a recruiting class that is still in high school impact what we saw last night?

C'mon. BO hasn't done that bad. Would I like to be competing for the conference? Sure. But it's not like he's done a complete shite job with what he has had.

MIZZOU is starting over. Look at UK and MSU. Took them some time to get the football program going in the right direction and going to bowl games every year. That is what MIZZOU need to do things their way. There is no quick fix over night! Barry Odom is doing a great job so far. One negative about MIZZOU is fans not going to the games! That is what hurting recruits! They do not see a large fan base and no interest in wanted to be part of football that wants to be recognize by other schools.

I'm somewhere in the middle. I also don't think he is doing a "great" job.
There's a lot that goes into what makes recruiting so difficult. There is no one thing.

Mizzou has one of the highest recruiting budgets in the country at least they did a couple of years ago when I last saw it posted online. We have allowed Kentucky to pass us up on the field and the last time we played Mississippi St. they kicked our butts. We need to recruit and coach better.
I like some of the players in the 2019 class, but we need to up the ante. The problem with many Mizzou fans is that they are addicted and programmed to accept the status quo.(mediocrity)

Mizzou’s AD budget is $100 million less than Alabama and A&M. It’s one of the lowest in the SEC, $40 million below the SEC average. I have a hard time believing that your info is correct about the recruiting budget being near the top of the country. My bet is that it’s probably in the 30’s. Which is the general range where Mizzou usually recruits at.

We have one of the lowest bag man budgets in the country

Mizzou D is not that good. For them to be better they should focus on stopping the rush or the pass. With this D I don’t think they can do both.

A few years(2-3) ago Mizzou's recruiting budget was in the top 30% of the nation. I posted it on another site at the time. I don't know where they are now.

It probably still close to top 30% in the nation. That’s also probably bottom 2-3 in the SEC. which is middle of the pack for P5 teams. About where Mizzou is expected to be on the field.

Like people have posted for years if we could only recruit better in state. Signing in state recruits would be less of a hit to the budget.
No in state defensive recruits in 2017, signed one in 2018, 2 in 16, 3 in 15(Howard kicked off team), and 3 in 14 Cheadle graduated and the other two transferred.
The budget should be less of a problem once we start recruiting better in state.
The problems we face seems like it always comes back to in state recruiting.

Missouri HS football is not good enough to sustain a SEC program. Not one that hopes to compete anyway.
At best, we could fill something close to half our class with in State recruits if it's a strong year.

Missouri produces somewhere between 15-18 P5 recruits every year. Though most of them are WR and DE. The key for Mizzou is to get at least half of the ones that it really wants. Last season Mizzou went 3-12 in instate recruits. 1 of those 12 was an offer just to keep people in STL happy.

Last year was a really good year for the defensive recruits in Missouri. Perkins is playing really good on a good OU defense.
We lost Perkins, Trout, Thompson, and Goodrich last year. Goodrich would be starting at corner and Perkins would be starting. I’m not sure about Trout and Thompson.
You are correct about not having the in state defensive talent every year. Last year 4 of the top 5 players in Missouri were defensive players. We needed at least one. Goodrich could have made a big difference this year at corner.

Well, Perkins went to OU and Goodrich went to LSU I think.
It's hard to beat out those schools for recruits.
