I think this is spot on. He really thinks him yelling “defense” is worth $3M a year.
I thought someone’s comment here the other day was illuminating as well. I think it was mizslu who intimated that he preferred recruiting kids from rough situations. He’s running a wayward boys home disguised as a basketball program. It makes the on the court outcomes irrelevant. Which explains the whole program.

Breaking my streak of withholding from posting on basketball related threads for this.
frick CM, it is a shame what has happened to our once proud basketball program. If you would have told me at the end of 2012 this is where our program would be standing I would have make a public attempt to call you a dip shite.
