u think Nevada beat us out for Cook??? Give it a rest.
So, out of the offers from Ok St, Arkansas, Memphis, Iowa St, Kansas St and Mizzou, none of those were commitable offers?
Give it a rest indeed.

I know. Anybody that doesn't pick Mizzou we really didn't pursue in the first place.

How many commits do we have for the next class and who are they? Is it just this Mitchell Smith guy?
As on now just Smith. Jackson is doing a ceremony today at his school in Ohio. Everything points to him picking Mizzou.
The staff still expects to add at least 1 more player. That player is going to be a big.

It's going to be Wednesday at 3pm that Jackson will announce, but Rivals analyst said he's already committed and just wants to have a ceremony. We need a big, Bossi said Smith is probably need 2 years in the program before he's physically able to contribute as he's extremely thin for 6'10. We need a big inside brusier, which we still haven't gotten and was an issue from day 1 when KA took over. At this point maybe he's planning on going small?

Bam, Bruno, & Ivan are the bigs Mizzou is targeting right now.
Bam is a pipe dream probably, he's a national top 20 recruit.
Bruno Fernando is from the school in Florida that Ben Simmons played at.
Ivan Bennett is the other. I don't know much about him.

I agree, Bam isnt going to happen, it sounds like Fernando will not qualify, and I haven't heard of Bennett before. Do you have a link to a profile for him? I googled him but nothing came up. I really want to see us land a big who can start and contribute from day one. But we keep offering these rail thin tall kids, hoping they'll develop in a few years when we need inside help now. I don't understand it.

Thanks wub. Really am curious to see the new guys and how much the returners improve.

I just don't think kids develop an inside game anymore. They all want to play outside at 6' 10". Thanks aau

6'8 350?! Can he play LT? Lol

Other sites list him between 290-300. Either way that's big. There's some YouTube clips of him, but I will wait until he is actually offered before really seeing what he's about.

ESPN 100 forward Tyler Cook (No. 51) tells ESPN he is down to Iowa and Florida. Decision coming in the near-future.

When KA was hired, he said he was going to put an emphasis on recruiting the talent in Missouri. Since that time he has went 0-6 on 4*+ talent in the state of Missouri, only signing 2 players from the state, both of which we were their only P5 offer. If that's not a massive failure, going by what KA himself set as his goals, then I don't know what is. We hired Tate to get even further in with the STL Eagles guys, and still we can't land them. Wish I could say I'm surprised but its going exactly as I feared.

The eagles are good, but the Jets should be the main focus now. They have better talent.

It's not really surprising. KA hasn't proven he can win at this level. Hasn't proven he can recruit.
If he is going to last players like Wright, Gant, & Clark are going to have to develop.
Only after he proves that he can win, then maybe get some top 100 recruits.
The good thing is that there are a lot of top 100 guys in the 2017 & 2018 classes in state. It's either KA proves that he will be here and they may want to come to Mizzou, or the new coach will use the Howland method and get the local kids interested.

Word is that we had cooled on cook and we are instead looking at Johnny Jacobs out of bolivar Missouri he's a 6'2" wing who can rebound like a mofo.

There were three in 2015 and three in 2016. We will get the same amount next year we got this year.

Mizzou won 9 games last year. Hard to see a top 100 talent commit to a school in that position.
If Mizzou breaks .500 this year maybe they will be interested.
If not, then it's hard to see KA being let go. Rhodes can then make a splashy hire, that top 100 players might like.
