I mean, yeah he was. Like I said. As soon as last week there was a couple mock drafts that had him going in the 1st round.

He's viewed as an elite receiver and I've never heard bad things about his blocking until this thread really

There isn't much of an excuse for losing the ball to a CB but the rest of your statement takes zero consideration of the remaining 60 snaps a game he is playing.

He along with Blanton do a great job of blocking their position in 11 and 12 personnel packages. His play is a primary reason MU had been successful the last two games running the ball. Split zone doesn't work without the TE sealing backside.

He's had the ball taken away twice in 2 games.

Coaches need to have him carry a football around for the next two weeks and have people randomly take it from him.

He has had 3 in the last 5 games and they have all been significant.

Kid needs to start paying attention to the details when he isn't running routes.

If you coughed the ball up on a Pinkel team you’re arse was in the dog house. Pretty sure repeat offenses lead to extended bench rides.

There are far more knowledgeable fans in this thread than me. If the consensus is that he's playing hard and smart when he isn't the target, I'll accept that. I wondered if he had been reading his own press too much. I didn't mean to imply he is 1st round or back. I would think 2nd or 3rd round is good enough for a TE.
To Reedus' point, I think this team has a lot of people who could make NFL rosters, or at least practice squads.

Albert wasn't a natural football player.

He was basketball first (and maybe only until late in high school).

Guy is an absolute freakazoid at the TE position.

He does way more good than bad for this program.

Part of these lost balls are just lack of engrained acumen for the game.

Blanton definitely will be in the NFL next season.

Just in FYI. Blanton's dad played at Kentucky and then for the Chiefs. LB #57

Albert O needs to watch tape of Zach Ertz. AO doesn’t use his size as he should to bully the frick outta DBz. No one but a freak LB should be stripping him of the ball or bringing him down solo. He’s got that B-ball mentality of not wanting to foul.
