You do business the right way.

Michigan, Ohio State, etc. get $51.1 million next season. Rutgers gets $11.6 million. Highway robbery. Column: LINK

Now you see why my old drunk self tends to reply to threads rather then start then.

I was expecting some of that, but it's actually gone in a different direction so far.

It's actually relevant here.

Imagine the hand wringing if we'd have taken the partial member status and been getting the shaft like this.

I understand greed. But giving the shaft to someone who opens up a ton of markets and brings in a lot of money never made sense to me.

To me you are either in the conference or you aren't. If we, for some reason, expand and add Southern Miss and Tulane next year... well they get a share of spoils like the rest of us. I won't be thrilled with the idea. But fine.

We all contribute to the conference so we all get an equal share of the pie. Bama is golden right now but not long ago they were the West team you wanted on your schedule.

Honestly landing Missouri was spectacular for the SEC because it gives us a foothold in the Midwest. You get your share of the cash and more power to you.

That is good Sofa. Reckon some fans of the other SEC schools do not know history.

Another five years in the SEC and the Missouri campus will look and feel like any other SEC campus. In terms of facility improvements relative to your former Big XII conference mates, they won't recognize you.

Missouri is a great addition to the SEC.

Landing A&M and Missouri was a godsend for the conference. Everybody is making more money and we have even better access to recruits then before.

While the Big XII stumbles from self induced crisis to self induced crisis things have never been better for the SEC.

I wish we had added them a decade sooner.

Looking forward twenty years down the road, the SEC will likely be 16 teams with 4 team pods with a 9 game SEC schedule. When that happens, every team in the conference will play each other home and away every four years.

I hope so. Some of the old heads are still holding on to past rivals. I got into college football late (around 2006) so I don't have the attachment to Nebraska, OU, and Colorado like others do. Hell, I couldn't care less if we get the Kansas rival back because I think Arkansas will make for a much better rival. I know that I already get way more pumped for SEC play than I did for Big 12 play. I hate to be cliché but it truly does mean more in the SEC.
