I know Wren is a WR. But a few years back, the Huskers wanted him as a OLB/DE. Kids got a great first step good burst off the edge. i almost think that would be his better position.

Wren actually played both at JUCO. He wants to play WR but a position change likely is completely off the table

He looks like he has a good catch radius, but he doesn't get much yac after the catch. Solid pickup and coming out of high school he had a pretty decent offer list. He also had some baggage at Arkie and especially La Tech.

He’s being recruited as a TE

Everything I’ve seen has him listed as a WR

This class is starting to shape up nicely. The change in signing day has really caused a sense of urgency. BO seems to be on a tear right now.

His primary recruiter is listed as McGee which would suggest that he is being recruited as a WR.

@GabeDeArmond
In this, Moore names a top five, which does not include #Mizzou, his dad’s alma mater
His dad Joe Moore ended up being a first round draft pick of the Chicago Bears to take the place of Hall of Fame rb Gale Sayers, but injuries killed that hope.
(Joe Moore
FATHER
First Round pick of the Chicago Bears in 1971 (11th overall).
Was the all-time leading rusher at Missouri. In the Missouri Athletic Hall of Fame.)

His top 5 appears to be Minnesota, North Carolina, Illinois, Arizona State, and Oregon.
It's a long way until signing day and none of those schools have a dline coach with Haley's credentials.

His dad played on those great Mizzou offensive teams of the late 60's thru the early 70's by the same name.
Check out this video with Joe Moore Sr. and the best Mizzou team and offense that I saw in my lifetime.

He would be a solid flip. All district selection as a Sophomore on a state championship winning team and 3A All State state as a Jr.

Odom seems to have really upped his recruiting game. This was definitely a weakness but he has turned the corner.
Now if we can just get the sanctions lifted, we might have our best season ever.

I don't think it's upping the game as much as it is the development of the recruiting relationships. If you haven't listened to Carl Reed's interview on the closing the border thread, he lays out what I have been saying since Odom took the job. Unless you are selling a room on a blue blood, it's going to take a great connection with a player. That connection is going to require a solid investment of time.
That dline class from 2018 didn't like Cross and Shipp was a complete bust as a hire. I thought Haley would have some success with them but he essentially had four and a half months to work on them when you factor in dead periods and pre season camp. They all went to blue blood programs instead of staying home.
Entering his 3rd full recruiting cycle that investment of time when these players were sophomores should start paying off.

Keep an eye on Jalen St. John.

Sounds like he committed

He is definitely a guy with tools Davis can work with should he end up commiting. He physically overwhelmed defenders in 3A ball. His game vs Colquitt County was another story.
