I feel like there is a third loss hidden in the scar-uk stretch, but 9-3 would be damn solid anyway.

Could be. I think USC/UK are games where Bryant will help grind the game out on the ground.

My ultimate hope is that Mizzou gets past UGA and wins the East and forces the SEC into defying the NCAA. Except for 1 year, Mizzou has played UGA really tough. Florida and UT get the hype, but they are not on Mizzou's level, and all the media attention and speculation won't change that. UGA is the game.

9-3 would be a worst case scenario IMO.....in the most Mizzou thing that could possibly happen is:

Mizzou wins the SEC and can't play in the playoffs

9-3 is not a bad year with this team and schedule. But, it would be a disappointment. 10 wins would be a solid year, 11 excellent, and knocking off UGA would be huge.

We’ll see what happens. Hopefully it’s a year of improvement and recruiting and growth for the future in any case.

No, 9-3 isnt a bad year. 8-4 would be a disappointment, I could live with 9-3. anything better is great year.

Mizzou fans crack me up sometimes lol

“We can’t recruit! We’ll never win with these 3* scrubs!”

also

“9-3 is underperforming”

How do we get a roster that would make 9-3 “underperforming” if we can’t recruit? Doesn’t add up.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you. I think there are a few people here who just cannot say anything positive about BO including his recruits. But I think the core people here recognize the way these kids are developing. It's just the marginal fans are the most obnoxious posters.

So what you guys are saying is that when passionate Mizzou fans want to see Mizzou recruit a little better they are obnoxious? A real fan wants the best for his or her team and not settle for mediocrity. Almost every time we play a good team on the field it shows on the field who has the better players at least. Since we have been in the SEC we have gotten smacked by Bama and Auburn every time that we have played them. Miss. St. kicked our butts, LSU kicked our butts. Georgia, Florida and Tenneesee are overrated darn near every year. We have a hard time beating Kentucky and S. Carolina, but you are cool with that.

Gary Pinkel said we have to recruit better and our fans need to step it up when Mizzou moved from the B12 to the SEC. Right before we moved to the SEC fans were saying "We will get better players now, because who wouldn't want to play in the SEC" We won the SEC East 2 times in a row and fans were saying "We will now get better players" Pinkel"We do what we do"

I have no problem with Odom, because he needs time, but......his teams and recruiting needs to keep getting better. Can you believe that Mizzou and Kansas have recruited on the same level for 2020?

The point is you can’t say we can’t recruit and then turnaround and say winning 9 games is underwhelming. We play in the SEC

I think we can win double digits. We have a good team.

Yea if Mizzou wins 9 or more games that means the coaches recruited well.

Settle down, take a breath and read my post. I wrote marginal fans are the most obnoxious posters. They never have anything good to say about BO or his recruiting. And he must have good recruits because they do go into UT, Florida, Ole Miss and A&M and win. Just because they are not rated as high while in high school doesn't mean they can't develop in college. And BO seems to have a solid system of development. It's not exciting on NSD but it's coming together on Saturday afternoons.

Mizzou hasn't played Ole Miss or A&M while BO has been a head coach.

C'mon "Cou". I'm trying to turn the corner and be a satisfied sunshine fan accepting that every 3 years we will beat out Vandy and not be last in SEC recruiting and with development of diamonds in the rough and perceived extraordinary game day coaching be above .500 with an almost realistic hope of finishing 2nd or 3rd in the SEC East. Is that not enough to hope for??? Well, I'm trying.

Here is what I don’t get. You always play the “Oh, I’M the bad guy for having expectations” card, but then you’ve never laid out what exactly your expectations are even when directly
quote:

asked.

So what are they?

Odom has improved his record and quality of team every single year and now going into year 4 has a team that is nationally ranked almost universally in the preseason polls.

If that is not at least meeting expectations then what would be? Be specific. Where should this program be going into year 4?
