I understand.

We are two over the count now. Two more if Pearl and Ferguson qualify. They will take Graves for sure if he can graduate.

That’s five spots right there. So I’m saying we may take another 1-2.

We might have 2 QBs transfer. I could see 1 of Wilson/Powell and Scott leaving. We still need another 3 or 4 guys to leave to even add anything to this class.

I’d be ecstatic if we can add Graves and a quality DT recruit.

Robinson and McGuire both probably end up at DT.

Both are 6’4 to 6’5 and weigh around 260 and have the frame to add weight.

Yeah, I had actually forgot about McGuire. I think Robinson stays at DE though

Robinson could be a Byers type. DE on 1st and 2nd down. Can slide down to DT on passing downs.

Agreed, that’s exactly the guy I had in mind when I watched his film.

This is pretty good stuff here. Talks a lot about positions for some of the defensive guys

LINK

They envision Nicholson inside and Burdine at corner which were both a little surprising for me.

I’m thinking the last 3 spots held are for february are pearl, ferguson and graves for an even 25. All 3 have academic issues and i’m betting at least 1 won’t make it by then.

Maybe Ike, Cooper or Henry fills that spot. These 3 totally misread the early signing period and now coould be stuck with ku or illlini. No room left for the good schools kids.

What happened to the Jeff Thomas talk? I guess I'm the only person that think we need a big play receiver that can take the pressure off the qbs next year like Hall did or a Jeff Thomas type. Again, when Hall wasn't healthy or didn't play the passing game was nonexistent.

There are big play threats on the roster
Scott, if he gets stronger and becomes a better route runner
Floyd if he stays healthy and catches more consistently
Nance was a big play threat at Arkansas
Gicinto has the speed

That's a lot of "if's" Didn't Nance lose his starting spot at Arky? I hope those players can get better quick for our sake.

Thomas is an "if" on any play where he isn't the primary read.....and in the classroom.

We will lose one maybe two players to injury related retirement. We do every year. There will be a couple of players who just decide football is not there thing anymore. And one who will get in trouble with grades or the law that will be booted from the team. That is the history of our team and most teams. It will repeat itself. So we will probably have 4-5 players leave plus the transfers and the ones who will not get their scholarship renewed.

He probably did not even try very hard because the head coach is not a very good at being a coach. So he got his wish by transferring to Missouri. Odom and Dooley would not taken him if they think he is not going to make an impact on the field next year.

That is not good to start right away due to being underweight at the DT position. That is why it is always better to be over over 300 to start at DT position. DE would be be better position until they gain proper weight.

A lot of Mizzou’s best DT over the years started at other positions and gained weight to become a DT.

I heard on the radio today Thomas got his academics taken care of and is open for business.

They also said he has a EStL friend on Illinois so they may be the frontrunner. Then followed it up with a "who knows?" since they can seemingly change their mind from day to day or hour to hour.

I think as far as Thomas goes that he will come here if we will take him. Guy wants to play 1 yr then head to the league. We have a much better showcase and supporting cast than Illinois does.

I agree with you. It would be nice to hear some solid information directly from JT rather than filtered through what media members hear from coaches and other sources close to the player.

DE Brandon Mack decommits from Pittsburgh. He visited Mizzou in November.
