Glover Cook doesn't look to be "100% committed".

I would think getting a chance to run behind a Brad Davis coached line would be a big selling point.

Neither Cook nor Watkins will be playing much as freshmen or sophomores. There are closer schools to him that give Cook a better chance at early playing time.

They are a high ankle sprain away from getting reps in the SEC.

Maybe if 2 guys get hurt.

Crockett
Rountree
Badie
Bakare
Downing

With the top 5 backs set to return it would take multiple injuries, which has happened before. A guy like Cook could go to UCF, which will only return a senior starter next season. It closer and an easier path to playing early.

You guys are assuming that a true FR won't pass people on the chart. We can agree to disagree.

That's a huge assumption.

If a true freshman jumps Bakare next year he will transfer.

You don't need to take 2 RBs in this class. I'd rather we took more D-Linemen and Linebackers.

You obviously don’t want a recruit to decommit, but RB seems to be the position the staff is best at identifying talent.

Cook is the starting RB on a 7A Florida squad that lost it's first game of the year in the playoffs to Armwood, a perennial power in that class. Him being able to push the rotation as true Fr isn't a huge assumption at all.

That's a possibility at every position on the roster. This staff has shown that the best players will play.

Disagree. Crockett has a hard time staying on the field and he is gone after next year. As much as I like Badie, he isn't an every down back in the league, especially with the running concepts MU now deploys. LR3 gets hurt and those 17 carries a game have to go somewhere. They need both of the currently committed RBs to stay the course.

Cook has missed most of this season due to injury. Have you watched his tape? I wasn't impressed at all.

He is a 7 ypc player when healthy. I like his patience behind blocks, consistent leverage though direction changes, and he minimizes the time his pads are perpendicular to the line of scrimmage or contact.

What don't you like? The fact that he is not running away from meager opposing talent on every play? He is competing against a deep class of ball. His team would mop the floor with any school in Missouri. He would likely be rated a high 4* player in Missouri's class.

Cook said from the beginning that his recruitment was still open so this is nothing new.

Very possible and I don't disagree with your analysis. I don't see anything from him that Mizzou doesn't already have or that Watkins won't bring to campus.

This is a position that if Mizzou loses a guy I just don't really fret too much.

Watkins is a beast. Not fretting over Cook because he was never a solid commit anyway

Would really like it if we could keep Cook. A year in the weight room will make him really dangerous. As I was reviewing some HUDL videos, one kid we don't talk about is the Ferguson kid. with a little added muscle and his speed and frame, he looks to be our next great DE.

Didn't he decommit from another school before he committed to Mizzou? I never trusted his commit when he said that he hasn't closed his options down.

Here's a few rbs that Mizzou has offered for 2019.

4/3 DE or 3/4 OLB, just a label. Hell Khalil Mack went to the pro bowl under both labels in the same year.

Robinsons HUDL page says 4.38 40. If he is anywhere near that at 6', 200LB, then we gotta get him.

Just got a commitment from GA OL Luke Griffin. He had committed to Georgia as a freshman, and at one point was VERY highly ranked. Battled injuries during his HS career but was able to put together a healthy SR year. Very high ceiling with this guy if he can stay healthy.
