I would guess WAY better because of where Mizzou is with in state recruits compared to this same point last year. A year ago Parker was the only commit and no others seemed eminent. This year there are 2 currently committed, but another 3-4 in state guys sound like they will commit by the time the season starts.
If won’t matter if the team starts the season like it did last year.

That's good to hear. Need a foundation at home to then spread out from.
When you say WAY in all caps is that because of the kids we got or the kids that are yet to come? I just took a quick look at last year and we had numbers 8, 15 and 19 from in the state. This year is 8 and 20. Also curious if 247 or I am missing someone.
Gicinto and Lawrence were both late offers. Doesn't mean they won't be good, but we whiffed on every early offer besides Parker.
This year we have already got Buford and Manuel. Will get Washington and Massey, and have a good shot with Boone, Henry and Williams. Those are all early offer guys.
BTW, Charles Njoku just committed. This guy is HUGE. He's listed at WR but I believe we are looking at him at TE. 4* on Rivals.

I just saw on tiger board that mubobby says that we definitely will get washington and massey.

Here’s the page for Charles Njoku

He’s a 4 star which will make this board happy but has a weaker offer list than a few of the 3 stars that are already committed.

He's not a burner and runs a 4.74 which probably hurt his recruitment offers from the big boys. I see that his preference is Miami but they haven't offered yet. Good get anyway.

Kirkwood receiver Maurice Massey will decide between #Mizzou and #Illini on Friday. Visited Columbia twice and Champaign this last week

MU is recruiting him as a TE.

Right, they are going to put weight on him and play him at TE
TE is going to be a position of strength for years to come.
Massey is announcing Friday, then Washington the following Tuesday. Should get both. Ferguson should commit pretty soon also.

He is about the same size that his brother David was as a rising HS Sr. He ran a decent shuttle and can handle the weight he needs to attach on the line. He has solid hand technique to ball location and a great vertical. This is one to be excited about.
Finley is accumulating a lot of talent in his room.

I'm really glad we didn't lose Finley this year, but it won't be long.

mubobby just posted this re: Massey
Seems like a kid who has either a hard time making up his mind or a hard time telling people no.

He committed to the staff Saturday night. Told them he's coming to Mizzou and wanted a couple of days to announce on Twitter with a video or whatever he's going to do. I know this happened for a fact. Here is where it gets hairy. From someone I trust he also told the Illinois staff he was going to commit to them but also said he wasn't going to make the return trip back to Mizzou which he did. Remember he was once a Iowa St commit. I still think it's Mizzou but buckle up Edited by mubobby at 20:11:29 on 07/29/18

I have a feeling Njoku is a loose commit. Sounds like if he ever gets an offer for the U hes going there.
Posted on 7/30/18 at 11:35 am to JesusQuintana
His brother played there, his other brother is currently there. Hes very close to all three, and apparently at some point has stated how much he wants to be there. The issue, The U never offered. Luckily at this point they have a ton of better WR's right now.

247 had him more interested in Miami and at the end of this article on him it makes it seems like that there's a chance he MIGHT take more visits, because he wouldn't say he wouldn't. It seems like Mizzou is making this a package deal with him and his sister. His sister will also enroll at Mizzou.

There is a video going around with Massey saying he made his commitment video and he's in Illinois gear. There is also a significant number of people that think it's a purposeful (fake) plant.

Why any kid would go to Illinois right now is beyond me
