I was hoping J Martinez would be moved instead of Pham. I guess no AL team needs a DH.

3rd straight series win, should have fired Matheny and went youth a month ago.

100% down with Shildt getting the managerial job so far.

Oh for sure, and bad news for you, he's going to get it.

Good read from Ben

I read that article from Fredrickson, but it’s too early to say that. But baserunning has been somewhat better, there have been fewer errors. And the offense has been more energized since he took over. I would have liked to see Flaherty stay in the game longer today. I must say I didn’t see Carpenter come out of nowhere like this and set the world on fire. A silver lining with Fowler maybe done for the year is we get to see what Bader and O’Neill can do playing every day.

This is how we ended up with MM in the first place. Granted Shildt actually had baseball coaching experience but the job should be wide open in the offseason and everyone given legitimate shot.

Instead of.. you know. Saying frick you thanks for trying to Tito.

O'Neill to the DL so it'll be Garcia the PCL player of the month.

Yeah when Shildt outcoached Maddon last weekend multiple times I was on board. Glad to hear he's the leading candidate. Guy can coach.

He’s done OK so far. I hated that he benched Carpenter though when he was on his home run tear. Someone that hot should be playing every day. I do like that he is open minded and willing to shuffle the lineup. Ozuna needed to be moved out of cleanup. When was the last time Molina hitting 2nd?

Slowest catcher in baseball batting 2nd screws us again. Yadi is a 5 or 6 hitter at best. Should try Ozuna or Martinez in the 2 hole.

Anyone else think Carpenter should be one of the front runners for MVP? Leading the NL in home runs, doubles, OPS, and WAR. Plays multiple infield positions. Leadoff hitter with those numbers. I’m trying to not be a homer, and I’d say Arenado deserves it over Carp, but it’s a damn close race.

What really hurts his case is how horrible he was the first 6 weeks of the season.

I think he’s been hitting close to .300 since he moved to that spot. Martinez is just as slow as Molina. The offense was so lousy all year, so might as well shake up the lineup.

Bader with his MLB tying 5th 5 star catch tonight, such an all around player.

Carpenter stays hot. Too bad the rest of the lineup stinks.

You mean getting rid of terrible pitchers helps?

Mo's recent signings have been terrible.

Cecil, Holland, Fowler, barf

Truly encapsulates the piss poor leadership of Mikey and Mo.

Kept signing hasbeen relievers, overworking good arms because of it, resulting in a putrid BlowPen.

Dump the dead weight and have the youth pitch and you get better results.

I will concede Mikolas, he's been a huge bright spot. So Mo batting about the same as Dexter Fowler.
