Looks like Arizona was his only offer. He's a low 3* defensive tackle.

This guy has 3-4 DE written all over him. Like what HCBO is doing in short time.

We've got forward momentum recruiting! I love it.

I also like the Arky kids. great way to help our future rivalry and gain inroads in that state.

Arky is constantly raiding Missouri for players. Hopefully this gives us inroads to doing the same to some extent there too.

Looks like Acy is still solid. Just cancelled OV to texas.

From 247
quote:

Next weekend’s visitors list just took a hit.

Three-star Dallas Wilmer-Hutchins safety DeMarkus Acy informed Horns247 that he would no longer be taking his official visit to Texas on January 29 as originally scheduled.

Acy picked up an offer from Texas after a strong showing at a summer camp but committed to Missouri in October.

Acy has no plans to reschedule at this time.

At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Acy is ranked as the No. 61 safety in the country and No. 118 overall prospect in the state, according to 247Sports Composite.

Utsey looks like he has size right now. 290 lbs. I think? He looks like a 3-4 style DT.

South Carolina landed a different JUCO RB today, so you've got to think that would help us with Crawford, since he's supposed to visit USCe next week. As long as UGA doesn't offer I think we get him.

RBs on roster:
Abbington
Strong
Crockett
Steward (probably done)
Walters
Williams
Doherty (heard he might be switching back to defense)
Witter (ugh)
Crawford (maybe)

Seems like a strong backfield to me.

Doherty is also a baseball player. If he has a really good year in the outfield, I wouldn't be surprised if he chose to focus on baseball.

His focus has always been baseball. If by that you mean drop football all together, yes, I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, I'd be surprised if he comes back next fall. He's better served working out with the baseball team in the fall.

Nobody has left outside of the outgoing seniors.

I don't know that it's any kind of foregone conclusion that Doherty won't be back, but I could definitely see him moving to safety as our numbers are a lot thinner there.

I thought Stribling or someone left? I know Thomas or whatever that Tennessee WR is left. The one that had the younger brother that apparently isn't panning out in high school.

Yeah, Doherty might be back but his future and his love is baseball. He plays football because he can. If I were advising him, I'd tell him it's time to focus 100% on baseball.

I think Wingo, Hilton and Perkins all need to stay on the defensive side. Some of these other WR's just have to step up. I'm hoping adding Johnson and Smith with the maturity of some of the others and more importantly better line play and the WR's will be fine.

You are right. Thomas Richard did transfer awhile back. Forgot about him.

Stribling is still here though.

Wingo is having a difficult time making any kind of impact anywhere. I think he could make some plays if he was used correctly.

No way I would move Hilton. He was the only WR that consistently caught the ball last year.

Perkins is a safety nowq

I agree, Hilton is a star slot receiver in the making. He will go on to be a 3rd round draft pick by New England. (Calling it now!)

I hear ya about Hilton, but we are kind of thin at DB if you look at it now.

CB: Penton, Cheadle, Gibson and Hines. Nothing beyond the 2 deep if someone gets hurt other than freshman Warren or one of the true freshmen coming in.

S: Wilson, Sherrills and Ross. Don't even have a 2 deep unless you include moving Perkins to S. After that it's only the incoming guys.

That's why I'd like to see Wingo add some depth at CB and Hilton adding depth at S. The guys at WR just have to step up because we have a shite ton of them to choose from.
