We have 12 commits and I am completely clueless on how they double that number. A majority of the recruits coming in on the big weekends are current commits, so that doesn't tell us much. It will really be interesting to see what Odom is able to salvage. Won't lie. A bit nervous about this class completely tanking and Mizzou feeling it in a couple/few years.

Hell, we still could lose Newman, Castillo or Acy as well although I feel pretty good about the last two. Simms seemed to hit it off with Elarbee too.
Does seem like we are in scramble mode right now. Probably going to have to fill out the majority of the class with diamonds at this point.
Good news is, I think the '15 class was our best and I don't think it's fair to judge O's staff until next cycle.
We'll just have to see, but this class may end up being pretty weak. I think even if it is we can survive it if we sandwich it with the '15 class and a strong '17 class.

Matthews will announce Monday after his OV this weekend.
Just to clarify, is he going to announce for us or just choosing monday to make the announcement for his choice?

Just make a announcement. I read KState was his leader, but getting the last visit can't hurt.

It's Odoms first year. Might be some growing pains. He's put together a respectable staff.
May take a season to find exactly what they feel they need.
So in the scheme of things. If they don't fill out all available scholarships, those role over to next year right? Might turn out for the better.

It really hurt losing the rb Anderson from Texas and as bad as our offense was last year we desperately need offensive weapons with some yac in this class.

I amazed we haven't lost more. A lot of changes scares recruits away.
Still 2 weeks to go though.

A lot of noise coming out of Ole Miss that they have flipped Royce Newman.

Was the staff not recruiting before Pinkel announced his retirement?
12 commits is KA territory. Hope this is an anomaly or just too early.

I think we've been out of the picture for awhile, but Amani Bledsoe committed to OU

Newman visits Ole Miss tomorrow and us next weekend.
Hopefully we can keep him but he was recruited by Ricker.

PM called his coach, who still said he's firm to Mizzou, but we'll see. If he gets out of OM without any drama and makes his visit to us then I'd anticipate him sticking.

This is the main defensive player that I wanted. It ended up between OU and Kansas.

3* QB Micah Wilson decommitts from Boise St and commits to Mizzou

3* QB Micah Wilson of OK committed. Was committed to Boise State previously, believe he's a legacy too.

Nice flip. I really like this guys film.
Good size. Has a strong arm. Makes some really nice touch throws. Moves very well. Ability to make plays with his legs.
Only thing I don't really like is the funky throwing motion. That's why we pay Heupel though.

From looking around on twitter, it seems Wilson is friends with Damera Crockett, the 4* RB we just offered out of Little Rock who's also committed to Boise State.

New MU QB commit Micah Wilson's stats are ridiculous: 198 of 279 passing — a cool 71 percent — for 3,730 yards with 56 TD and only 2 INT.
Wilson led Lincoln Christian to a 14-1 season. The only loss came in the Oklahoma Class 3A championship (38-14 against Heritage Hall).
56 TDs! His dad played center for Mizzou in the late 80s.

So the recipe for future Mizzou QBs is to be the sons of past Mizzou OLs.

Fine pick up. If I thought of him as a starting QB, I'd be worried. He's a career backup is my guess between Lock or Zanders or whoever and the QB from the 2017 class. Will take it for depth.
