The recruiting guy in that interview loved Anderson. Said he was an instant impact guy. Mizzou beat Texas out for him. For what it's worth.

4* JUCO QB Jerod Evans visiting this week. Unrated on 247 and Rivals, but 4* on Scout. Thrown for over 3000 yards, 38 TDs and 3 ints this year.
Odom and staff also making a big push for instate kids, will visit Bryant and Scales tomorrow it sounds like, also reached out to Taylor. I like that he's being more aggressive after the instate guys, got to keep them home if possible.

Also said some of his ESPN colleagues underrated Anderson too.Said that Strong is the player he likes the most out of this class.

Jerod's little brother Caleb, an unrated HS QB from Dallas is OVing with him as well. Will also visit VT this weekend. Neither have an offer as of yet.

Darius Anderson won the Houston equivalent of the Simone award.
Any word on if he's solid or not?

He had an in home with someone on the coaching staff, like a GA not a real coach. His quote was that it went great and he couldn't wait to take his OV to Mizzou, so sounds solid but idk. I've also read that Odom wants bigger backs and is still looking around for another to pair with Strong, so stay tuned.

Abbington is that second big back. He got in GP's dog house early and could never get out. HCBO will give him a clean slate and see what he can do

Abbington doesn't really run like a big back according to scouts. He's more of a finesse runner. Maybe the new RB coach (Ford) can get him to run with more power.

On the few carries that Abbington got during last season he ran like a big back running over and through some defenders. In high school and JUCO he wasn't known for running over people, but he looked pretty strong last year.

He's pretty skinny. He has the frame to play at 230-235 easily.
We'll see if he's in the plans or not, but a lot of that is going to be on him.

Jerod Evans committed to Virginia Tech

Not a big surprise. With Lock only a freshman getting an impact QB is unlikely in this class.

Only impact guy we have a shot at is Jackson Allison, he said he'd consider Mizzou if Season flips from UGA to Richt at Miami. Allison isn't happy being recruited over and has 5 family members currently at Mizzou. I'd say it's a long shot we get him, he is an EE too.

Not too mention we don't have a OC at the moment.

4* DE/OLB Terry committed to Mizzou today.
