Eta...asked the guys I'm watching the Super Bowl with. The answer is yes, if they have a qualifying ACT score and a GED, they can qualify to play in the NCAA.

There's a lot of reason to go to prep.
If you qualify out of high school, but want to improve your status as an athlete prep school is the place to go. Not also doesn't count against college eligibility. M

Of course, some of the go because of, you know, Prime Time baby!!!! Egos. That's not all prep schools. A lot are not like that. But a Huntington Prep. Oak Hill. Prime Time. It's all about ego and little else.

Last yr Markel Smith didn't qualify for Iowa so he went to a prep school in New York. Does his time at the prep school count against his eligibility once he goes to Iowa?

Mariel Smith played for Milford Academy in NY. It is a prep school because he didn't qualify academically for Iowa last year. He is expected to enroll at Iowa spring 2015.
I was wondering if maybe this could be a solution for Martin, if he can't qualify.

Yes we got Hall, follow Nick on twitter (@coach_otter) if you don't already. Pretty sure he is Mizzou's recruiting director or something else important lol, but he tweets out every commit as soon as it happens
