Oh, come on now! Don't be that way! Who do you think it is? The QB from Jacksonville? Cornelius? Come on!!

I have a feeling it will probably be either Zanders (QB from FL) or Jared Cornelius (WR from LA). Would love it if it were say, Barnett or Hendrix (DE's)...or any DT, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

I think I read somewhere Zanders was going to announce on the 3rd. Could be wrong.

You're correct reedus, Zanders did give August 3rd as the initial date. He has backed off slightly by saying "soon", so either way we'll find out in few days... or weeks.

I hope he's open to a position change. I just don't see him as a future starting QB at Mizzou.

We'll see, I guess. I think Kentucky recruited him as a DB. We'll see if he can compete with Printz, Hosick and Mauk.

With his size and speed I would love to see him at safety.

+1, unless Trent moves there this year...? (although i like Hosicks offer list more and have seen his video and think he can contribute to the qb position.)

I know ive said it before and im going to say it again i really think if the staff decides not to take a qb this class we could really get a high profile qb next class.... not to mention he would be buried under the depth chart, Qb is a position we have the numbers for.... (esp if trent, eddie, matty, and corbin stay.)

Does he have a hudl? or any highlights? I havent seen the kid play though, maybe im wrong and hes a stud?

None-the-less Welcome to the ZOU Zanders

Marvin Zanders Highlights

My issue with him at QB is he's 175. Just worried with his style he could get injured a lot. He would need to add about 30-45 pounds to play the way he does in the sec. But at safety or corner or even wr he would only have to gain 15-25 pounds.

That was probably the beginning of his junior year, right? I bet he's put on a bit of weight since then, and they'll want him working hard in the weight room this year.

Welcome to the ZOU!!! The way I look at it is we have a strong stable of QB's already. If he's good enough to beat them all out, awesome. If not, he looks to be a great athlete and they/he probably have a number of options. Hopefully, he's open to it all.

Don't know how hard we pursued him, but he did have a Mizzou offer, but top 10 in state talent, Jimmie Swain(LB) from Lee's Summit committed to TCU.

The Zanders commit moved Mizzou to 38 in 247 rankings and 40 in rivals. Said reason for commiting to Mizzou was they believe in him as a QB who can throw. Wants to be a true QB who can run, not a running QB who can throw. Thats why he picked Mizzou over Georgia Tech.

i watched his film. He reminds me a lot of Brad Smith, but I'd say his arm is better that Brad's was at the same point in their careers.

Paylor just tweeted that Zanders' coach said he's on pace to graduate early and wants to enroll early.

That's great news. Always like to see them enroll early and get to work with the team when they can.

I just hope they get to go back home for prom and a graduation ceremony with their friends.

I believe if he enrolls early he counts against the 2013 class so that is one more scholarship available for the 2014 class
