Damn I really liked Murphy. But Cheadle is a good pick up.

Cheadle, Pendleton, and Boehm should help us get Monte Harrison and 2015 rb Ryan Williams. Lets keep that LSW pipleline strong!

Dewayne Hendrix will visit Mizzou today, per Brian Austin.

I don't see a 2 star guy that may not end up at corner shutting the door on a highly rated player like Murphy. That would be pretty dumb of the staff.

Hope they don't take a qb in this class. Have 3 potential starters that are underclassmen right now. Would rather have a year gap so we can lock down a Rafe Peavey type in '15.

That was kind of my thought as well. Drew Lock out of Lee's Summit is in the '15 class that I'm sure MU will be hot after. 247 has him at 4* I think.

I don't know if it's the name or if it's the neck, but assuming we don't flip Bauer and don't get Johnson, Freedom Akinmoladun has become the in-state recruit I'd like to see MU get a commit from.

4 others in the 247 network also predict Murphy to the good guys

I see your point but they'll want to have some insurance in case of a transfer or two.

Bama has a 2 star commit... just saying. I thought it was surprising. So does Georgia. I'm starting to like both our 2 star guys, think they have good reason to be under the radar with good potential.

Sounds like we made a good impression on Hendrex. After yesterday he now plans to take an official to Mizzou.

Arian Middleton commits to Kentucky. They are putting together a hell of a recruiting class in Lexington

Yepp, I'm kind of really getting tired of hearing about other schools putting together good classes. I think MU is the only school to not have a 4 or 5 star among their commits.

Yeh it kind of sucks, but it's not like this team doesn't have some 4 or 5 star recruits on the team now. So the tank is not necessarily empty. We also have some exellent 3 star players too.

To play devils advocate on my own statement my guess is Kentucky won't make a bowl and some of their kids flip.

But as of right now I think I saw they were top 5 recruiting class in the nation.

Ps we are NOT on Brian Wallace's top five. And Roderick Johnson is visiting Bama, florida state and ole miss this week.

Dont worry bro. Somebody will come in and twist it for us. "The kid sucks" or "They will come flocking in when we are 7-5"

Pretty concerning that Kentucky and Vandy all of a sudden have taken off with recruiting.. did not see that coming. Double negative, takes away guys that would go to us and div rivals get better.

This is extremely concerning. I'm not sure we can recover from this with Pinkel as the coach. He needed to hire a top notch recruiter with SEC ties last year. Someone that would really connect with kids the way Yost did. For all of Yost's faults, he was a phenomenal recruiter. Instead, Pinkel hired from within for 1 position, and a solid but unexciting position coach for the other.

I truly believe this is his make-or-break season. I think he needs to win 8 games to be safe. Other coaches, and recruits, smell blood in the water, I'm afraid. I hate to say it, but this is what I think.

Now, I should add - I'm very excited about the recruits we have, and some of the current players too. I'm expecting great things this season from our Lucas, Washington, DGB, Culkin, Josey, Hansbrough, Steward etc. Hopefully, we can have some early success and springboard out way into a solid recruiting class.

The problem is it's not just this kid. This class had the chance to really help establish a solid OLine, all with in-state recruits. Bauer, Johnson and Wallace. I like Pendleton, but we frankly should have gotten all of the other 3 as well if we were a solid in-state program that kids took pride in attending, or at least 2 of the 3 if the staff were solid in their recruiting efforts, or with some lousy recruiting we could have still gotten 1 of them, but we'll end up with 0 of those 3.
