I thought he came in last weekend. Do I have my weekends confused? I thought he got to see a great game and atmosphere with the basketball game. Maybe I was just wishful thinking he was at that game.

He wasn't there to my knowledge...although it would have been great if he was. What an atmosphere and game for potential recruits to witness. Surely we had some big recruit in town since we had Maclin, Spoon, Rutland, and others at the game...but Booth posted on Twitter that he wouldn't make it this weekend due to the weather.

Booth has had Mizzou among his top few for awhile and was scheduled to make his 4th unofficial visit this weekend (this time with his mother)...until the weather forced him to postpone. He's said that he would like to make a decision within the next couple of months. I think if we can get an out-of-state recruit of his caliber, it will really increase interest from other out-of-state recruits.

I think I read his dad and maybe Ford are pretty close. So Ford has known Booth before the rest of the world knew Booth.

I just ate Chinese food that the fortune cookies were made in Stone Mountain, GA.

Coincidence? I think not.

Also my UGA buddy just told me Stone Mountain has a Mount Rushmore type carving with Robert E Lee.

Apparently the Klan meets up on Stone Mountain yearly or something like that. Just what I have been told before.

Hopefully it's true. Be nice to get the weekend kicked off early. Hopefully we see a handful more this weekend.

I'll ask him.

Update: he says yes that's true and his dad's best friend is a grand wizard. Also his hometown is a klan HQ.

Yes I go to school at UGA so i'm an hour from Stone Mountain. It is a park with lots of games and attractions and things to do. And your spot on, it has a big mountain carving of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and stonewall Jackson. They proudly refer to it as the shrine to Confederate Heroes.

He's not officially committed yet. He's going to wait until he visits the campus before he officially commits. Hopefully this is the start of a big week of recruiting!

So being that you go to an SEC school, what have people been saying on campus about us. I imagine its not to different from here but still.

How often do you talk about the San Diego Padres? Mizzou probably gets the same amount of talk on UGAs campus.

your right, not a lot of talk about Mizzou, other than a few jokes here and there about how we didn't know what we were getting into with football, u know exactly what you would expect.

I do find it funny tho how people like to give me a hard time and say MU will have to take a beating for several years before we really are SEC, but yet they already brag about Texas A&M and claim the heisman they won and all the kids they are about to have drafted from their as true SEC guys. Kinda ironic to me.

I will say Mizzou has put up billboards on the main interstates entering Atlanta that are pretty awesome, and has gotten us in the discussion here in a city with an unbelievable amount of college football recruiting prospects. It is building some name recognition with kids down here which is a start.

It isn't about putting in any amount of years as your dues. It's about winning. Amazing how fast winning earns you respect. A&M won. Mizzou didn't. A&M is respected. Mizzou is not.

If the Cardinals were in the same division as the San Diego Padres then that would be a relevant comment.
