That's a great read. Would really love to see him turn into a player. Welcome and wish you the best Mr. Harris.

ESPNU had a reporter from Ohio St on a few minutes ago. He broke down their entire class. Said "the hay is in the barn" and mentioned every state their recruits came from.
No mention of Missouri.
No mention of Missouri.

God Bless both Harris and Sherrils. They make some awesome stories. I like seeing kids like this come to Mizzou.

Well, I can't blame the woman for not wanting him to go to Arkansas..... Hilarious story though!
Well, it looks like the only surprise was Charles Harris - great story there. He better start working with the nutritionist soon and pack on some weight and muscle if he wants to play DE. Wish the kid well, glad he's a Tiger!
I hope we get EZE, we need him in the worst way. Disappointed about Outlaw, but oh well. And from his antics and attention-whoring, sounds like we may have dodged a bullet with Johnson.

Scott Van Pelt: You wanna make one last pitch to the one that's still out there?
Meyer: No, they told us we're good.

Well frick.
If they pumped up all this attention just for him to go to tosu, there will be some bad feelings.

Some really bad feelings. I don't think anyone would begrudge him going to tOSU. What he will deservedly catch hell over is jerking his state school around just to garner attention. Everyone had accepted him going to tOSU and he caught little to no hell over that decision. Jerking the state school and alma mater around is a different story.
At the same time, don't kid yourself about Meyer's quote. He's working any and every angle he can, including publicly displaying an aura of confidence.

True, Meyer is about as slimy as they come. He walked out on a huge mess at Florida, and a lot of his recruits were thugs. His "retirement" to focus on his family and his health? Just to take the osu job a year later? Yeah right. He's a good coach, but also a snake oil salesman who was not well liked by his peers. There're reasons for that.
And you're right - I think everyone accepted he was going to tosu, and I for one wished him the best of luck. But if all this hoopla is just for attention and he ends up there anyway? That'll leave a bitter taste for Mizzou fans, coaches, etc.

I'm still holding out hope for an EZE commit to Mizzou. With the history during his recruiting process and UM's lie about not recruiting another running back coupled with both EZE's parents being alumni to Mizzou.....I still can see him comming to Mizzou. This all could very well be Stacy snubbing UM.
On the other hand, if he stays with tOSU and this all turned out to be a publicity dig at Mizzou's expense, I'd say it may not be a good idea to show your face around Columbia anytime soon. If it's one thing I know for a fact, it's Mizzou fans can hold a deep grudge ...... FOR LIFE and BEYOND. This would be deep if it turns out that way. Not a threat, it's just the way I see it.

And just to re-emphasize what you're saying, it would be because of the publicity dig at Mizzou's expense. Not for the simple fact he chose tOSU. People were ok with that initially, though disappointed.

Exactly. It's not the fact if he winds up at tOSU, it's if they used Mizzou at the expense of generating publicity. It would have been real easy just to come out after his visit here and just say he was still siging with tOSU and it would have been a done deal and no fuss no muss.
Also, don't get me wrong about the "show your face in Columbia" remark. After I went back and read that it sounds worse than I meant it really. I just think there would be some really hard feelings by fans for a long long time if this turns out to be a publicity stunt. But I wouldn't wish anything bad upon his parents. I'm sure they are good people as well as EZE being an upstanding young man.
I want this kid here. I think he could thrive here just like Henry Josey has and will again. But if he chooses tOSU, good luck to him.

Gabe DeArmond is at JBS now. He is predicting Ohio State.

I'm prepared for it to be tosu. Same old Mizzou.

Would it be a little awkward for it to be televised and he picks OSU? Yes, but I will be way more angry at the staff for this class than EE for not salvaging it.
