I wish we could fish up another body at DT for next year. I am really nervous about playing a FR at DT in the Southeastern Conference, but I guess at this point he isnt worse than what we already have. Anyways this was a must get.

I was reading an article on him, and it looks like he played a little Tight End and Wide Receiver in HS. That type of flexibility, I feel is always underrated in DTs. Sheldon also played some Tight End.

Do we know for sure whether Antar Thompson will qualify? We need a surplus of linemen on both sides of the ball.

Great news about Augusta. Welcome to the Zou!!! Won't lie. With the way things have been going, was a bit nervous about him. Thought he was the biggest get of those remaining.

I don't know.. but if Sheldon wasn't fully ready to contribute after 2 years removed from HS I'm not sure I can count on these guys to do much next year. We really needed a Juco guy (or two) at DT.

Getting Augusta is great though, goes without saying.

Stars suck, but how is this guy not officially a 4 star. Jesus, his resume is pretty incredible. Man child on the defensive line that also leads his conference in receptions at WR. That doesn't happen often.

A little side comment but I wanted to get some opinion. But Ramirez and Boyd are going JUCO. If Boyd cleans up his act, would you give them a call in 2 years? Or do yall think they have burned too many bridges? Just wanted to see opinions.

If he develops and his play on the field merits it, I say you go after them. Bottom line is we need to upgrade what's on the field and if that would constitute an upgrade, you do it and put the hurt feelings aside.

One of our remaining targets, Eric Mayes, committed to USF. Derrick Calloway also flipped to USF.

What the heck is USF doing down there? Or are these kids that just want to stay home?

We still have 3 scholarships to give out, right?

I agree with you, I dont think we are in a position to pass on talent. I like that they would hold firm on recruits, but that was back in the Big XII. This is a whole new situation now. If they can help us get wins, lets bring them in.

Sounds like BOTH Ramirez and Boyd are going JuCo route.

Correct. I posed the question on if you would want the staff to give them a call in a couple years or if too many bridges were burned. I only got one response though.
