Love it.

Locking up in state kids was such a problem for so long.

HCGP and his staff are starting to see the results of all their hard work. The DGB commitment coupled with the SEC move has really paid off in state.

Yea, I dont think Missouri is going to produce like this every year. This is one of the better two year periods I can remember for in state quality D1 recruits.

If we can lock down the borders that really helps take the pressure off in Texas and allows us to develop a presence in other areas in the south.

I'm interested to see how y'all do in the southeast. We had limited success to put it gently. Surely, being in the East will help, but there are so many schools b/t you and them. It's a bit of a gamble for sure. Im truly glad to have Mizzou in the conference and eagerly await playing y'all each year - sooner than later, hopefully.

It's a gamble but it's a necessary gamble. With so much talent in the SE it would be dumb to not dig into the region to see what they come up with.

agreed, between recruiters and billboards we are pushing hard to establish some mind share in the southeast

OT but sometimes I think the "reporters" over at Hawgsports just make up quotes for the players they have talked to

FWIW Ramirez did not get an Arkansas offer when he visited. Not saying he won't get one later, but Arkansas likes to see them at their camp before an offer is given.

Well mostly because of the DGB fiasco over there. And lately with Jamone Boye in the article he is quoted as saying "The offer, it's the biggest offer I have so far." I've met the kid and personally just don't believe he said that whatsoever, but to each his own I guess.

EDIT: I just noticed this was part of the quote as well "Everybody's been telling me it's the biggest offer I have so far."

That I could believe, Bobby Petrino I'm sure could be heard saying that all weekend to the recruits

Ramirez texted PS to tell him that Mizzou would be his leader even if arky offered. Ramirez told PS to post that everywhere to clear things up for everyone.

Just signed S Justin Gaston for the 2012 class out of Toledo, OH.

Anyone have any info about the kid?

ETA: Over at Tigerboard they are talking about his fast 40 time, unranked recruit by most recruiting services, though.

Are you guys hearing anything about Hosick. Early leaders/strong leans, time line for decision, etc. I think his game translates well in the SEC, JMHO.

Not hearing much but Mizzou appears to be in good shape.

Hopefully he is a hidden gem! Would prefer we take a gamble on some big DT guy, but the secondary is not a bad place to try I guess.
