What a disaster

we are losing two of our most productive position players and two that have largely carried the team. i dont know what we have as far as current game-ready freshmen, but we are going to need to hit the transfer portal BIGTIME and hope some of the incoming freshman can play. there always seems to be a few that step up, but if we are asking leggett and forsythe to step up and be bigtime contributors (which we will need if we are going to win), we are barking up the wrong tree. KJ might be one that can actually contribute, but hes going to have to learn to play the outfield and lay off breaking pitches.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed.

New season this week. We could get bounced in our own regional or win the whole damn thing.

One thing is for certain: upsets will happen. Teams that are red hot will inevitably lose (see: Mississippi State 2012) and teams that are limping into the tournament will make runs. Let’s hope we’re part of the latter.

I took my medicine. I’ve been a state fan for far too long to expect preferential treatment from national committees, but I’m also not going to look the gift horse either. We put it on the line, but nobody stepped up. Good for us.
