Top 20 team undefeated on a Saturday and the Hump is 2/3 empty. Crowd isn’t into it. Pathetic. No wonder we are playing like shite
Do better
Do better

I mean it’s the week before Christmas and the students are on break and all at home. Give it a break Francis.

Agreed. This is what Cohen created. We have a top 15 game vs Alabama in a few weeks and I bet Alabama has more fans than us. It's pathetic it has come to this.
But maybe that will wake up our fans when Alabama outdraws us.
It's only been a month since Cohen left so it will take time to heal the years of damage he did to our basketball program en lieu of his baseball program that he also destroyed but patched up quickly.

Playing a home game a week before Christmas against a meh team with students gone is not going to draw a big crowd.
I have tickets for the Bama game and I believe we have a big crowd there even if the date sucks.
This time of year we are better off playing road/neutral site games. Helps our RPI and then we are not worried about having a small crowd for home game.
Despite a growth in population, the GTR area is still sparsely populated compared to cities like Nashville, Baton Rouge, Lexington etc.
So your potential draw of a local crowd for a middling OOC game is small.

I’m giddy. I hope it’s actually packed and not a “sell out” with empty seats.

Good job By the fans showing up. After being there and seeeing the condition of the Hump it’s easy to see Cohen must not have planned on having a competitive team this year and fans showing up.
Listening to Richard Williams interview Jans after the game on the ride home was awesome. Williams talked about how great it was to have the crowd back and Jans’ response was awesome about how much better it would be to win those games like back when Williams was the coach. Hopefully the fan support continues.
As far the game, first time I’ve seen Bama and I was impressed. The successful Bama teams of old seemed to have a great basketball player surrounded by a bunch of athletes. These guys are athletes who are great basketball players and our guys with limited basketball talent hung with them with defense and effort, and minus the terrible FT shooting night from Tolu could’ve won it.

Good crowd and much needed win today
I feel better after watching Bama and Tennessee today they’re on another level. We have a tough schedule but I still think we are a solid team that could sneak in the tourney as a 9-10 seed

Great crowd and win tonight. We are improving and still have a shot at the tourney
Jans has us in the right direction I hope we keep him a long time. I think he gets us back to the MSU of the mid 90s in time
Boosters need to pony up money to upgrade basketball facilities we are behind most of the SEC. It’s time to support this program now that we have a young and energetic coach with great potential. If we don’t do this he will leave for a big program in a few years. We have done it for football and baseball, now it’s basketballs turn
