I think we can put up points against Ok State. I am just worried about giving up huge passing plays. Maybe our d-line will be good enough to pressure the QB.

Two guys say we can't win so we should just forfeit. Screw it I'll just cancel my non-refundable room in Houston because there's no point in going if we're just gonna lose right???

They lost 4 starting OL -- and the fifth is shifting from tackle to guard -- lost their best QB last year prior to getting injured -- and lost their best running back. Their defense was terrible and they are breaking in a new OC and DC.
They have about the same amount of talent as us with less experience, particularly in the trenches.
I like the match up...hated it at first until I took a deeper look at their actual team this year instead of just the name on the front of their jersey...

I'm excited for the game because it's an excellent opportunity for our school, it's a do-able trip for most in the bulldog nation, and a bowl-like game at the beginning of the season. This is the launching pad for a great season or a blah one. It gives us national recognition...
Do we have a good track record in big time games? Probly not. Are we favored to win? Nope.
But when has that ever stopped us from getting excited about a game?
I'm not saying we need to have anything reminiscent of the #WeBelieve campaign, but don't rain on the parade. This is a special time to be a bulldawg, what is there to not get excited about?

I'm not around a comp and driving through TX, so I can't research. At 1st glance those stats are extremely misleading. Vegas may miss big on us, but when they do they overestimate us not underestimate like you're trying to prove. A few examples off the top of my head.

People are really underestimating how bad Chris Wilson hurt us last year.

Me too. There's more to a first game matchup than how each team finished last year, and I can't stress enough the part about Chris Wilson being gone.

Considering Ok St. played Hud and my Cajuns I'm probably one of 10 posters on the board to actually see them play last year.

Nothing wrong with coming to grips.
With that said, it's also pretty fricking weak to give up on a game 7 weeks away from the first snap and call yourself a fan IMO..
