Strick told someone last night it was the Gator Bowl win or lose...so we'll see if we get screwed over this week.

There isnt a 7-5team to jump us. Ole miss is the closest at 6 and 6. Only other thing i could see hapening is us and vandy getting swapped out foe one another.

The bowl get selection picks of the teams in order and we aren't the last bowl eligible team. We added the Independence bowl this year.

It goes

BCSNCG (Bama likely)
Sugar (SEC #1) Florida
Cap One SEC #2 Georgia,LSU, A&M
Cotton #3 see above teams
Outback #4 see above teams.
Peach #5 USCe
Gator #6 MSU
MCB #7 Ole Miss
Liberty #8 Vandy
Compass #9 no SEC team
Independence #10 no SEC team.

Of course the bowls don't always select this exact order, they can take another similar team due to location and fan base travel.

For example, Vandy with a 5-3 record should get Gator over MSU, but they won't because they won't travel and fill that stadium. They won't get MCB because it is in Nashville. So likely they go to Liberty.

My post in the other thread. Compass bowl is impossible. Not even enough eligible teams to fill it to that far. No SEC team will go to the Compass. They will choose a Sun Belt team instead.

Worse Case scenario is we fall to MCB or Liberty but that won't happen due to record and the fact that they will take us over Vandy at the Gator bowl b/c our fans travel better and it all comes down to most attractive game and money.

Honestly we aren't going to have any fans at the gator bowl no one is going to want to travel after what they saw in the egg bowl

We'll have fans any time State makes a bowl game. It's an opportunity to travel and as a State fan you can't take bowls for granted.

We still remember how it feels to not make bowl at all

Maybe the students won't travel, but I can guarantee older alumni will make the trip. People seem to have forgotten where state was 5 years ago.

Ideal matchup. We can stop running teams.

In Gator playing Wisconsin would be my top choice, with all the scenarios out there. Second choice would be Gator against Mich State.
