I just feel like we have best chance to succeed with a scrambling QB. We are never going to have a bad arse line or bad arse receivers. Need a QB that can create plays and extend them.

That's why I prefer O'Korn over Dobbs. I'm also puzzled why the 1st QB we offered for 2014 is a pro style QB.

I don't know... I have mixed thoughts on that. I'm stubborn in some things and I hate the thought "CAN'T" or "WILL NEVER" and what it brings.

I believe we can get an OL. JWS did. I think Mullen will make changes next year to the offense IF we are not majorly improved this season.

I do get your point. I do like that WOW factor. It's exciting.

I agree with you in principle. I think both O'Korn and Dobbs are good enough athletes to be true dual threats, but O'Korn plays in the more similar HS offense which makes him look alot better. Their measureables are similar...

On 2014 recruiting, let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is sitting in McComb: LINK

Good dual threat prospects in the next 2 classes inside of MS...Not that I necessarily think MS is the best place to recruit QBs...

Watch his highlights, he can run and pass.

I think people get too hung up on the tag of "pro style" and "dual threat"

From everything I have read about Dobbs, he isn't a TR sit in the pocket all day kind of guy. The offense he plays in is more of a pro style than say what O'Korn plays.

You can make the argument that O'Korn would be more prepared for our O and that may be true, but Dobbs is much more athletic than TR. Not to mention the kid is apparently very very smart, look at his offer sheet

tl;dr

You would think that we would never offer one again under Mullen after last season.

Well that is one thing I do like about both of them. They are very smart. I think O'Korn has a 4.2 GPA.

First and foremost we need to sign guys and get them on campus. I do think the dual threat is our best bet

After four years, we have yet to see what a dual threat qb can do at state. It will be the sixth year until we find out, barring injuries.

Kinda sucks imo.

That kid is impressive Bundy. I am on the way to his house now with two of the Diamond Club's finest.

Seriously though, I was way more impressed with this kid than the kid from McComb.
