No way he has held the offense back at this point.
I mean, he definitely did after we got up on Auburn. That was vintage Dan going conservative. I hate it but it's probably why he's 42-1 when leading at half.

Oh heck yeah. You're 100% right but we are very hopeful that our D this year is much improved. We did well against Arky but y'all will be the first real test.
We don't have the offense that we had last year just yet, but we are hoping things will get clicking before too long. If one of the running backs will just step up, the O will get serious in a hurry. Dak's passing is way better than last year, but we aren't running an air raid offense just yet.

Dak scares the crap out of me
His intelligence in reading defenses is underrated. Gonna take a disciplined effort from TAMU to affect him.

Ok brother; you've got to explain the colored fish to me

It's your fish camp logo, with the fish headed away from Sumlin's beautiful face instead of introverted as usual.
There's a hidden inuendo here, but what fun would it be to reveal that on a Tuesday?

We could do an avatar bet..

I'm kind of partial to my Avi, how about a one week sig pic bet? Nothing profane or offensive? Period starts sunday after our game and ends the next Saturday morning.
Well?
Well?

Shump had one play that was set up perfectly.
That's really one of the keys to the game.
Unless Dak runs, can MSU sustain drives on the ground?
We've been using a mixed passing attack so far, and while we do have talented backs, we haven't put them on the field very much to this point.
I think the MSU defense vs the aTm offense is a wash, while aTm will get points, I expect the line to get pressure, and unless we play a geoff collins zone, we should be able to create some havoc in the secondary.
The MSU oline has done well in pass blocking, and Dak's release has been faster this year, but he really does need to take off and run more quickly if plays aren't open.
I think three points have been understated so far:
1) MSU has already played a road game in a hostile environment, so crowd noise should be a non-issue. Plus, for as many folks as are there, the aTm stadium is pretty quiet.
2) Remember last year, MSU played without our starting center. I believe 4 o-lineman from this year played in last years game.
3) This is the first real game of the year where we have known what the opposing offense and defense looked like, as well as substitution patterns. USM pulled out all stops. LSU missed their first game so we didn't see the defense or personnel changes. Au started a new QB and were playing in an elimination game.
This should be a great game. I could see it as something like 31-28 either way.

I have to disagree. There is always a low roar coming from the student section side on defense. You can tell the alumni side because they were quiet even on defensive 3rd downs. Piss poor IMO, but that place can and will get loud.
Their problem is a similar one that we used to have, where only students and younger alumni/fans would bring the noise, with the fuddy duddy old folks who don't wanna get up and get loud. I think we're beyond that problem now, thank the Lord.
When we went to TAMU two years ago I was there and it was amazing when Johnny was out there, you could hear a pin drop in that stadium before the snap. Adversely, when Dak was out there it was amazing to hear the roar from that yelling they do and to hear 75,000+ people chanting at the same time. Not to mention, feeling the sway of those high up stands as they did their fight song BS.
Also, you have that downward direction focused toward the field..I'd like to hear what the players had to say about noise level on the field.
TL;DR They can be very loud on defense.

This time it will be 104,000 and with the canopies in place. Old Ags are quieter unless it's a crucial 3rd down. But when everyone is on their feet and yelling it's easily on of the loudest stadiums in CFB.
Best thing you can do is jump on us early with a 2 score lead

Yup, basically what ole miss did to us last year. That was the largest crowd in TAMU history and just looking for a reason to go berserk, but never got the chance.
