Probably so. Watched him pass out in the Halfway House last yr before lunch.

There were some shirts floating around the Cotton District with him on them as "the most interesting man in Starkville" if I remember correctly.

Gerald was an instructor at MSU at one time. He taught photography.
He walked because he had narcolepsy.
He probably wasn't passed out but sleeping.

Learning a lot about Gerald. An interesting history, just as I suspected.

Oh, and that girl is fine.

Folks,

Gerald Berry was a student in the anthropology department at MSU in the early 70s. I knew him in that time period and saw him when I'd pass through Starkville over the years. IMO, a lot of wasted potential but he lived the life he apparently wanted. Pretty much the old Mr. Natural/hippie character that was ostracized in times past and came to be accepted as Starkville relaxed a bit. I hate to see him go, but I'm not surprised....passing of an era and all that noise. He knew one of my second generation cousins....she was also a hot co-ed in the day....RIP Gerald

Daughter of my cousin and hell yes....which brings to mind, if a man and woman get divorced in Mississippi, are they still brother and sister?

We must have been at school the same time b/c that was the rumor. He also rode his bike b/c of being less danger on the road. And yes, he was always passed out and not narcoleptic. He lived behind a buddy of mine in the cotton district at the time. Or who knows, maybe that's where he always passed out.

Let's be honest here, we all should celebrate the fact he lived as long as he did b/c even 20 years ago, I didn't think he was going to make it another year.
