Do you honestly expect us to nab freshmen recruits capable of making that same impact?

That's correct! an offer does not mean that he is actively recruiting him! How does that not register with you.

Again, the question was about a player they had offered. SEE, OFFERED... His response was that he was not going to waste time recruiting him....

It's not hard to get...

Rick Stansbury, had great recruiters for assistants in Phil Cunningham and Robert Kirby.

Rays asts aren't much known for recruiting. I still can't believe he kept George Brooks over Marcus Grant.

Not my screen shot.

As for who has visited Malik Newman, Booker, Antonio Green, Riley Norris, Maurice Dunlap, Laderrick Scott, Dwight Coleby.

Brooks works with Ware and Lewis. Hollender is actually a strong recruiter. All the coaches are very personable. I think they are fine in that aspect. Bundy and Darkhorse have ya'll even met any of the coaches?

Malik will be a 5 star prospect and we have a slim chance of landing in 2 years depending on if we show improvement or not

Booker- ZERO shot of landing due to his ties to Michigan and Missouri

Riley Norris- Doesnt even have an offer and is a low 3 star

Maurice Dunlap- Really needs to work in the weightroom, I see him as a less unathletic smaller Barry Stewart

Laderrick Scott- Grades, wont qualify JUCO bound

Dwight Coleby- Signed with Ole Miss b/c AK knows how things in SEC recruiting work.

True, but Brooks isn't a very good coach at all, I have friends who coach or coached at MS JUCO and they said he was the easiest MJCAA coach to game plan against. Plus not a good recruiter, ill give him Sword and Roquez, but he is yet to help us land a kid from Mississippi and he couldnt help us keep Hood.

I have yet to see a single kid that he has been the main recruiter for. He has only coached in Big 10 country and I haven't seen him offer a single kid from Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, etc.

What have I said about them not being personable? I just want them to be able to recruit and sign some good recruits and not settle for 3 stars that Ray says "Ive seen them with my own eye and I dont care what their ratings are"

Well how about you at least give them a year before criticizing. They have been in Mississippi a matter of months. They have to get the connections.

Sorry you can not refute what he stated. Sorry you can not refute the fact that offering a player is not the same as recruiting the player offered.

If you need to rack up the points with other posters by TRYING to slam me, go ahead. LOL!!! by all means, carry on.

You and Bundy are the only the only posters that are hell bent on complaining about Ray at this point. Enjoy being in the minority. You two need to learn to be patient.

I have nothing against Rick Ray and think he is a great guy and solid coach.

I personally, just believe that if we would have offered the money we could have made a better hire. Look at South Carolina they were coming off a single digit win season and they got Frank Martin who is one of the best coaches in America IMO. We won 21 games and got an assistant from Big-10 country

... is he the one that put together his staff?

Is he the HC of MSU basketball?

NOBODY has stated we are not giving him a chance. Nobody is saying we don't support the team. I buy the tickets and I watch the games.

Me pointing out something like that does not = not giving him a chance. Just like and offer does not mean you are actively recruiting.

Really.... you are SERIOUSLY telling a MSU fan to be patient? That's like telling a Bama fan to not throw rocks through the coach's window.

How many years has it been since our last national title???

This is strictly based on your opinion. Hence why i didn't respond about it.

I know I remember the likes of the quote you talk about but can't seem to find it. Could you possibly link it?

If Mullen said that about a recruit you would start a thread on the recruiting board and have an all night fap fest

I really don't give one flying frick if we never sign a mississippi kid

South Carolina, at the time, was a better job, because we let Stainedberry and fat albert mess our program up.

Holy shite. You are the polar opposite of this in football. If Mullen offers a no name 2 star with offers from Alcorn you tout how he is a diamond and other schools are really missing out etc etc

Just whatever fits your agenda.
