So I'm as happy about the Big Cory flip as the next guy, but can someone explain to me why he's been rated a low 3 star this whole time? The Bundies of the world have hyped him up pretty much this whole recruiting season and his offer list is legit - what's up?

I only saw him in the MS-AL game, and he looked like a beast there. I was confused about his 86 rating and was sure he would get a bump at some point.

Not sure why he is only a 3* TBH, has great film and you can't coach 6'5 270 and speed.

His ranking will matter about as much as Preston Smith, Taveze Calhoun, Benardrick McKinney, Dak Prescott, etc's ratings matter now. That's why these things are such a shitshoot.
Cory will have an excellent chance to step up and start for us in year 2 -- after PJ, Eulls, and Virges are gone.

Not to mention the game doesn't seem to affect recruiting. Especially with Tee, he will start from day one at OM, don't see him doing anything more than competing for 2 deep here.

We have to start recruiting better if we ever want to get over the hump and beat actual good teams like LSU, A&M, Alabama, and Auburn.
