I never really got the impression from my AE friend that the job market was rough. If you are concerned about the job prospects of AE, though, you could always go with ChemE. I just graduated this past May and out of the 30ish grads we had, I think only one or two didn't get a job offer before finals.

Yeah, he said it reopened recently. I was unaware. What's the big deal?

This is what I plan on doing. Will not take one sip of any alcoholic beverage during the weekdays

It's been discussed on here and other forums a lot. I figured everyone knew. Especially someone who still lives in Starkville.

I went to the newly reopened state theatre this weekend and it blows every other bar in starkville out of the water. It was a lot of fun and dak knight was there

Dak was probably making sure everyone was hydrated and had a ride home.

I would strongly advise against going into AE. There is no job market in it. I have a friend that was an AE major with a 3.5 gap and interned with nasa. He has been out of college for 3 years and still hasn't found a job.

You never know where things will be X years from now, but if you have some smarts, a good degree, and a willingness to work hard, you can make a small fortune working in Silicon Valley these days and that is if you just want to have a regular job. If you can get with the right start up,,,

Of course, most people from the south, visit, freak out at rental prices, and go home before they even risk jumping into the water.

I've already been researching rental prices out in California and other states and they haven't freaked me out

Since you are interested in pursuing a degree in AE, you might have heard that the Hondajet has recently received full FAA certification. The program started at MSU's Raspet flight lab back in the 80's, and Honda built the first Honda aircraft at MSU. Just an interesting tidbit. MSU's history in AE is quite impressive, not to mention they've done some interesting research.

Not sure where you are looking. If the price looks pretty good, remember to add 911 app to your phone.

Looking at some apartments for around 2k a month. Not that bad considering what I plan on making.

Make sure you check on parking and association fees and anything else they might tack on. $25K to $30K per year in after tax money for a 1BR/1BA 600 sf apt does have a tendency to scare people off from the rewards in Silicon Valley.

Jeeeeez. I thought paying $1,200 a month in Nashville was crazy when I lived up there.
