1. Fitz looked a lot better last night. He completed 14/21 of his passes for 243 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He looked more comfortable back there yesterday, too. He also ran for 107 yards on 15 attempts for 4 touchdowns. Fitz hasn't lost any speed or power running the football.

2. Defense looked good again last night. We had 8 tackles for loss. We were disciplined, didn't get called for a lot of penalties. We settled in nicely after that first drive. ULL was beating us on the edges on that first drive, but we made some adjustments.

3. It was good to see Mixon get some playing time last night. 4 catches for 80 yards. He needs to play more. Guidry has 3 catches for 57 yards. He is so quick.

4. Aeris Williams looked quicker last night. He had a good game, 11 rushes for 101 yards. Hill got hurt last night. But he should be able to play against Kentucky.

5. Secondary looked okay. Abram took that interception out of Dantzler's hands. Hope Peters is okay and nothing serious.

6. Leo Lewis had 8 tackles. Good to see him stepping up this year. Tim Washington led the team with 9 tackles. Big game for him.

7. Summary of everything:
Fitz looked great. We have 2 really good running backs. Mixon needs more playing time, and Guidry needs to touch the ball more. Offensive line looked really good. Defense had a great game again. Had a few injuries that we hope are not serious.

8. What I want to see vs. Kentucky:
• Fitz to continue to throw the ball like he did last night.
• Secondary to improve their pass coverage.
• No major injuries and a big win.

Good summary.

I was really pleased with how Fitz threw the ball.
I was a little less impressed with our DLine this game and with our coverage of the intermediate passes.

That being said, Louisiana had a pretty good offense coming into the game and I would imagine more of our focus would be on @ Kentucky.

Any word on the injuries to Peters or Hill?

Also, really impressed with Coach Jo so far. Seems like the announcers that meet him are going to give us better publicity now as well.

Peters is up and moving, and will have tests tomorrow. Hill was riding the exercise bike on the sidelines last night.

We're kind of in an interesting position since we really don't play a game that proves we are a top 10 team until October.

We have entered the crucial 3 game stretch. After yesterday's results, being 3-0 in this stretch has become crucial.

I'm only buying in even more though. This is an incredible team. The hype has lived up for once. And we have a coaching staff that can make us to the best of our abilities

The schedule couldn’t have been any better so far this year based on the circumstances. A nice 3 week ramp up to the SEC schedule with a road game against a decent team in the middle, then we get to start with Kentucky in SEC play. Just ready to get SEC play started at this point.

I am of the mindset right now we are probably better than what we have shown so far. It seems like we’ve had a ton of people rotating in and out and haven’t really seen our primary rotations on offense and defense for any extended period of time yet.

IMHO, this UK game was a win for MSU if Mullen was still the HC. I’m afraid MSU will lose a few more Mullen would have won.

2018 if y’all still had Mullen 10-1 CFP
2018 sans Mullen 7-4 8-3
