For BBQ get Little Dooeys in Starkville

Did abners ever reopen? They were good about setting you up for tailgates with chicken fingers

I think slim chickens is now in the Abners building.

I would not get Dooey's. Worst BBQ in town.

One more question every time I've gone to a game and Starkville I have tailgated with friends in the junction but can't do it this year. The Auburn alumni tent is near the old intramural fields is there place over there that you could set up a tent and some tables?

I always liked Petty’s better but I don’t think they do the tailgating setup

The drill field area is a decent spot to tailgate and so is the intramural fields. Been a long time since i've tailgated there. There are usually some spots closer to the hump and just off University drive right when you cross the bridge. Even tho some fairweather fans have bailed this weekend it should still be pretty packed everywhere. Bring plenty of beverages and get there early. You should be good getting there at 11. Cheers

Bring garbage bags and throw your trash in them. Seems to be a problem everywhere at every stadium/tailgating area.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. The tailgating atmosphere has come a long way. When I was a kid you popped the trunk, took out the lawn chairs and box of chicken nuggets and listened to the USM or Ole Miss game on the radio. Junction is good if you are into that type of crap but also plenty of places to set up in a more relaxed environment.
