Cash Money's twitter

Unrelated, he actually sounds like a very intellegent individual. He was tweeting earlier about money and the difference in playing in the NBA and in Europe, so this isn't the ramblings of some idiot.

Here we go...

quote:

State fans.... Don't get discouraged @RickRay1 has the program going in the right direction. They just need to get some more pieces

Been saying the following for a while now...

quote:

Look how Coach Croom had to clean up Jackie Sherrill's mess! Mullen reaped the benefits tho! Coach Ray is cleaning up Stans mess! #BePatient

quote:

Im thankful that Stans recruited me but IMO i dont think the players feared him. Great recruiter but I think players respected other coaches

quote:

Some players scared 2 say it but Im not! Players have a lot of animosity towards Stans and the program because when you leave.... THATS IT

quote:

They felt like when they graduated and left the program. Stans and the programs didn't try to help them with their professional careers

quote:

They feel like when u leave State that's it... They wont try to help u. Thats why a lot of former players dont & wont come back to support

Holy frick you have got to be kidding me...

quote:

Even I felt that way at one point in time! I Thought about coming back for my Sr yr but Stans told me he felt like I should go

quote:

Stans told me he felt I should leave because he felt like he couldn't coach me anymore and he wanted a fresh start and roll with Dee Bost

quote:

I'm not blaming him for my decision but I've never ever heard a coach say that to a player before. It all worked out for the best though! ??

Back tracking a tad because I'm sure he didn't want to be misconstrued and attacked by the random Stans lover on twitter that think this means he hated State...

quote:

Coach Stans is a good guy and his family is too! I appreciate his coaching and the opportunity to play for Miss St! Some of the best times!

quote:

I wouldn't trade my Bulldog experience for nothing! It meant everything! Fans rocked with me whether we won or lost! I appreciate that!

quote:

Bulldog fans..... Best fans in the SEC IMO!

quote:

Bulldog fans will definitely let you know when you're doing good but they will get on yo arse if u messing up! Lol

quote:

To clear the air... I'm not trying to bash Stans... It's just my opinion on what went wrong and why some players wont come back to support

quote:

I like where the program is headed. The players haven't quit on @RickRay1 they still play hard and hustle. Be patient! You will see results!

I love when former players honestly open up about their time at a school. It really says a lot about what was going on instead of hearing some "fan" put their spin on it and make it sound like they want.

However, I will add the caveat that sometimes players get butthurt about their time, but it's pretty easy to pick those out.

Jamont is a State basketball favorite so I'd say this is pretty spot on.

Interesting. Jamont seems to like the university more than I thought he did. He has done really well for himself over in Europe. He makes a couple of million a year over there now I think. I will always remember that shot he hit against Kentucky.

1.1 million euros would be about 1.5-6 million. So pretty good living.

I think this only proves that getting rid of Stansbury was the best thing to do for our program.

I haven't changed any coat. Any person with half a brain could see how Stansbury was putting the program in the toilet.

You can't get any further into the toilet than we are currently.

..even though we won twice as many games as we did last year.

This basketball situation is so damn close to the turnaround we did for football and baseball it's unreal. Except in Baseball we didn't have to go through a "Croom Era". I really hope we don't have to with Basketball either.

I'm assuming you know more about the program than Jamont. I admit all fault, all-knowing darkhorse.
