Is anyone hearing about possible DC's?

Nothing. Genespage posts some stuff but its for pay access. Looking at the other boards but nothing of value there. It ranges from waiting to see if Harbaugh goes back to the NFL so we can get the guy from Michigan to the Giants are interested in James Franklin and what if the PSU job comes open, could we lose JoeMo.

I had a Genespage membership about a decade ago, but I don't participate in any other message boards. I sometimes read some of the threads though and thought it odd to not hear any rumors on the DC position. I'm just ready for some stability on that side of the ball.

I was hired as DC. They were impressed with my strategy of all out blitz every play and dive at the knees of every offensive player until the entire 3rd string is in, take the penalties and give up a few big plays early, and play base 4-3 zone the rest of the game and let Moothead do his thing on offense

I think my biggest issue with Shoop would be the likely hood of switching back to a 43 defense. But other than that you're correct, the guy has been a helluva coach where-ever he's been.
