If that was the name of the Hunt Club I think you would have been right.

God that place is awful. However, thankfully it neighbors the Bowling Alley which made for many a fun Monday-Wednesday nights.

Jimmy Johns bread is good....plus they get the sandwich to you in about 30 seconds which is nice. I go with the Firehouse meatball.
Has anyone ever tried the Firehouse limeade? Jesus that is disgusting.

The owner of Halfway House is a cool guy. I've known him for a few years. He can get wild and will straight throw down with the best of them.
Played golf with him a few times.

I wish someone could buy one of the older houses on University and turn it into a place similar to Keg And Barrel in Hattiesburg.

I want to buy State Theater because I don't see how a place like that goes to waste in a college town. Like what's the deal with that place?

Rent was high as giraffe pussy, but apparently it is owned by a reality company now. Pretty sure current ownership has no liquor license so it is going to be a long road to get it going again.
Liquor Licenses in Starkville are about as hard to get as meeting the Pope.

The city has to approve it before it goes to the state. Either way Halfway House took 7 months.

Sounds like the city is doing a great job of making people want to open their restaurant in Starkville.

That is like them requiring to first approve my application to form an LLC prior to submitting the application to the Secretary of State's office, or approving my driver's license application.

The city has total control of liquor licenses and the applying for such licenses.

Permits and building rules got much harder since the last Mayor owned most of the Cotton District.
