I mean it's easy to question the choice now but he really was a hot commodity then.

But as I've said before we should've hired Neal Brown instead since he had more SEC connections.

Does Moorehead continue to try to start Stevens or does he build on the freshman QB? That will say a lot about his coaching right there. In my mind you have to go with the freshman now and take your lumps.. but Stevens is his Penn St guy.. I feel this decision will make or break the team. Also didn’t like how players ran right by him in the sidelines when he tried to stop them to coach them up. Wondering if he had already lost the team

It doesn’t really matter. Might as well play Shrader since he can’t be red shirted now. Jomo has set the program back fir what is going to be years.

Any thoughts on Matt Campbell at Iowa State as a possibility?

I've seen some talk about these Big 12 Coaches like the KSU guy or the ISU one like you said. If there's a Big 12 coach id like it's Neal Brown from WVU but are we going to put the money to get a good coach or will we be cheap like we were with Moorhead?

Need someone that can sign OL and DL consistently and keep a deep roster in these spots.

What Makes you think Neal Brown would want to come to state?

Oh I don't think any of these coaches ISU, KSU, or WVUs coach would come here. I just figured we were drawing up some preferred choices that are a lil out of the ballpark but not completely out there.

Only reason I bring him up is because that was the guy I wanted State to hire when we hired Moorhead.

But no I agree. With you on the OL and DL front which is probably why the KSU coach would be the best for that. But once again he wouldn't come here.

If we lay a big fat egg on the road to Tennessee, Joe will have lost the fanbase too. I jut haven't seen the players come out and seem like they want to win.

Joe has lost control. Our games are always chaotic and the penalties reflect that.

It felt like he lost quite a bit on Saturday. I saw some rational State fans really questioning him after Saturday and putting them on the cliff.

Tennessee is the type of game that will have them falling deep down that cliff if we blow that one.

Which at this point I'd put that game at 50/50.

You all put way too much emphasis on one game.

He lost 90% of the fanbase after losing to KY/FL last year. Then he regained about 75% of the 90% after A&M/Auburn then lost all of them again after the Bowl Game. Then he lost everyone again wKSTATE and Auburn.

Talk about a roller coaster. Guys quit letting one game ruin everything. Yes I wish we were 5-0/4-1 but the season is not a complete waste. Thanks to our Tudor kids, this season is going to fall short of what we are capable of regardless.

I like Stevens but no way should he have been on the field the last three weeks. I think he is still capable of helping us win some games going forward but Shrader is definitely the future.

But mainly let’s look at long picture and not get too down in the short term.

It’s this mentality that got us to rock bottom with Croom. Do not settle for this mediocrity.

Having the microwave mentality with changing Coaches will take us down to the level of Arky/UT.

Anybody with half a brain knows that Croom walk into an impossible situation and then he had to further purge the program and that it was going to be a 4-5 year process to rebuild the program. He did just that. After 2008, making a change was appropriate but he left the program in far better shape than he found it and it served as a springboard for CDM’s success.

With respect to Moorhead, he is still an outstanding coach that will have success here. It is way too early to have such a poor losing attitude from some of our fans.

Do I want to win every game? Yes sure I do but I am not throwing in the towel on the coach after a loss or two either.

Player discipline is non-existent. Just consider Morgan's out of bounds hit, and Thompson's ejection for targeting.

Plus Willie Gay's ejection the week before. And his mugging for the TV cameras before his ejection.
